Does it ever stop heating in the middle of baking? I just ask coz it happened to me today, and I got scared it was gonna explode. I've finished preheating, and put the food in. But after a few minutes, everything looked like it stopped, except for the digital temp and timer. Is that normal to suddenly stop, then light up/reheat again?

Yes, that's normal. If it stayed on it would get hotter than the preset temperature.
