- In this video we take a behind the scenes look at all the racing motorcycles that were at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on Thursday 11 July 2024. We're not allowed to film the track so all of this footage is of the paddock and the assembly area.

I used to exhibit bikes at the FOS with the MV Owners Club, this meant passes everyday and camping on the exhibiters field near the paddock. In the evenings it was nice to wonder round without the crowds and take a closer look at machines, often with owners and mechanics tinkering with them. The Saturday night fireworks, put on for the VIPS banquet, was always a special treat that not many got to see.

I was there yesterday and hearing, smelling and seeing the bikes was absolutely awesome. Only yet again I didn't get to meet my hero Randy Mamola
Sidecars are a work of, art, when you can see underneath the bodywork and see how much work goes into them 👍❤️

Bikes always treated as the poor relation at these mainly car events.
I have a lot of people over the weekend say the same: “bikes are the poor relatives” and it’s really not the case.
We are limited to the number of bikes we can have at the event and the event team always do a great job of filling the places with some great entrants. The last three years riders have had balcony appearances. Last year the cover of the programme was all about the MotoGP bikes. This year we were the front row of the Ballroom Paddock, which about as important as it gets at FoS. His Grace is a rider and his passion for the bikes always shines through.
