I too had this same concept until I started reading up on SSI. Most brands only show their CRI and TLCI. But when you use a spectrum meter you'll quickly see why you'd pay more for aperture. Thanks for sharing this view.
OMG. What a surprise. Second home-Run in a same inning. Glad I’m watching same day. Sweet treat for real. Speaking of time respect and business, the lights definitely on my wish list for 2024. Thank you so much!
I've been in Vietnam and Philippines for the last 15 yrs -- a lot of the gear you see on Amazon or B&H isn't in the stores here. Hard to see and try things in person. I have had the opportunity to see GVM and Came-TV lights. I really like both of them. I already had a Came-TV 220w so my last purchase was from them too. I wanted to have one APP to run my lights. I think the GVM lights are a great choice too. Good review by you and your assistant. Cheers.
Glad to see new videos bud. I picked one up early when they had a great adorama sale last year for the same reasoning of price point/value. The only two negatives of why I returned it, was the bowens mount for the unit was too recessed and didn't fit several modifiers I had (fresnels: 2x and fl 20g). The 2nd was the weight. The fixture itself is 15# which limits its rigging options. Totally agree about the quality, although I could not find any solid info about its weather resistance. I eventually went with the 500w on an amazon sale where the fixture is almost 4# less.
I agree to Vu on this light, because i have this light in my Amazon cart for the last 2 months and will be getting this in a few weeks! Super awesome light! Thank you for confirming this bro!
I just bought one of these. It's a little bit magenta which can be an issue matching with other lights but It's a heck of a light for the price especially if you are using it on it's own or using it with other lights that have tint corrections.
I got this one last week, and the output is ~66% what is promises. Measured with Sekonic 858D. Any other light I got (Aputure) measures what is promised in the specs. Guess I got fautly unit, but GVM customer support is not very helpful. Their emails seems like they are in English but they are not really :D. Luckily bought it on Amazon, so it's going back soon. Got also Aputure 600D from Amazon, and output is almost double the GVM 650B Pro .... Have you checked what is real output of your unit? Guess half the price half the output 😅😅😂😂🤣🤣
I know 5 month later, but 600d is a daylight, the gvm is a bicolor. The aputure bicolor 600x has half the output of the 600d. Learn your lights before giving your input :)
@@lucasvivante8988 Check what they advertise. GVM advertise their 650B as 22200 lux at daylight, while Aputure 600D is advertised as having 22150lux. So GVM claims their light has higher output. Check the specs first ... Also checked the GVM 650B Pro with spectrometer ... it does not keep the set CCT in the whole range of intensity. Sure for the price you cannot find anything better I guess.
@@lucasvivante8988 Something like 14000 lux. But it's on Aputure webpage and the light hits what they advertise. And also is accurate for the set CCT. GVM advetise 22200 lux and never meets it. That's what I'm complaining about ... So GVM 650B is like 2.5x cheaper, but it's fair to also share that output is lower than advertised and CCT is not what you set on the control box ... you can check how wacky it is in my latest reevaluation :P
Just bought their SD 300D - but I did notice my other light from that series is losing power to its cool white. I gotta pump it up to like 7500 for a proper daylight. Did you have that same issue on the Profesheno series?
The funny thing is that i didn't even care about the light when i saw the thumbnail. Or at least not at the moment. So basically i just clicked on the video because of Vu. I knew i'll have some great time anyways 🤣
Thanks bro. I've noticed that I get more initial views when the thumbnail has my dumbass on it vs when the thumbnail does not. For some reason, you all really want to hear what random thing I'm gonna say 😂
@@nVuFilms Yes we want that. Because everyone review all the same products. And at this point, your personality comes into the picture! :D Keep up the good work.
Tell us, is the fan running under 50% on this device? Something I noticed with the latest 150c and 300c Amarans is that the fan stays OFF under 50% light intensity.
@@synesthesiafilms in the time that I used it that is what it did. Maybe it didn't get that hot (which it didn't) and during it's down time it just turns on to cool .
So IMPORTANT for everyone who got sold on this light now... if you buy this light and you wnat to use ANY other modifiers then GVM you cant do that. The Flanche distance from the Bowens Mount is not allowing that. I own the light and I hate this about it. Other then that it is a great but heavy light.
@@nVuFilms quick question I need a mobile set up for when I travel what do you think about the zhiyun molus 100 for a fill light and the molus x60 for a key? Or is there a better way I can spend that dollar. Thanks !

Not at all
Actually over 50% fan wasn't on... When I turned it off... The fan turned on. It has different fan modes as well
@@nVuFilms So the fan cools after switch off and during usage it does not cool. I believe you but I find it very illogical cooling algo.
