To me, Robin looked sad without his beloved Maurice, but he and Barry sang wonderfully. They were all simply the best....back then, listening now, and forever...

Beautiful! I love this too and wish they would have performed together more after Maurice's untimely death. They probably thought "We have all the time in the world to get back together." Too many of us think the same! I read that Barry didn't even know Robin was sick until about 6 months before his death!
A lot of people seem to positively fight cancer to the end, when to others they are obviously very sick. l had a friend, who knew a single mum, with no family that he knew about, who wasn't making any plans for the future of her children, as if she was going to survive. She didn't.
Yes, I understand. Each case is different. I only hear or read stories and see some film clips and I do remember Barry saying he saw a picture of Robin in Europe (or one in the newspaper) and showed it to his doctor 'cause he didn't think Rob looked good. Doctor said "He is dying, go see him". Gave him six months and that doctor was right. You see that one?
Yes, really sad. Looking at all the film clips, it was obvious he was slowly starving to death. But so positive about living life to the full and enjoying his craft to the end. l really admired him for that. Sadly l think Barry was really irritated by Robin singing their stuff publicly on his own. Didn't excite me either, but l loved the original/individual material he did. There seemed to be very little communication between them without Mo - sadly so.
I think partly he kept busy and into the music to ease the pain he felt at Mo's passing. It hurt him more than we will ever know -- they were together even before birth! On one interview Robin said they talked every morning, even as adults! That's why I named that list Robin Gibb "Dealing with Grief:" It is so sad, the entire situation.

It's so sad whenever I see Robin after 03', he was obviously crushed from losing Maurice and he looks 10 years older almost immediately, and he was so ill in his last 3 years, it's really hard to watch because he used to be so talented and look so upright and confident, he was gone waaaay to soon, RIP Robin!
