Dan is turning 39 and decided he wanted to look back on his life along with his audience and take a look at his relationship with alcohol, to see if he can see where things might have got difficult for him and even see if he can pinpoint some of the causes of his problem drinking.

I'm from Ireland, but with the smokes, you'd even have people just say can I've a drag - just a couple of pulls😂 one the lads started bringing Marlboro to school because nobody would touch off them! Those summers, every weekend it was a "friends birthday so we're going for a meal at the Chinese Mum" and there'd be dozens of us all getting plastered down the strand or woods. Crazy thinking back on the antics😂 the silver lining I always think is our kids won't get nothing passed us😂
These honest chats are what get u to realise so many people have similar upbringing and childhoods n end up with the same issues and to think it’s normal to celebrate weekends just because you’ve done a weeks work is crazy n most the time u hate your job so live for the weekends to get fucked up on the Friday spend all your wages n then feel like shit Saturday and Sunday n back to the grind again it’s madness

Sovereign was first cigarettes I smoked at age 15. I was clubbing in bars and clubs age 15 too. Had a good night out on £20! Cheap nights during the week.. 50p an alcopop 🤣
We also had another local which did all inclusive drinks for £12 on Thursday night.
Lambrini was my drink.. 1.5l for £1.50 vom!!!
Lee Evans is my favourite comedian. Shame he has now stopped.

Hahaha I can relate to being 14 with the 3ltr white lightening ciders. We used to wait outside the shop with our Friday night pocket money and ask passers by to go in and buy our booze and fags for us then go and get fucked up in a park or a field somewhere 😂 Good times. We used to call it 2’s, 3’s and LD’s (last drags)
Think most of us couldn’t wait to get drunk🥴as are parents would go to clubs and stuff, so we be like can’t wait to get to 18 so we could go out🎶🍺🥴but in the meantime time we all go to the park at the weekends getting drunk on 3 litres of cider while judge Jules was on the boom box🎶there used to be loads of us as I live on a big estate, thing is them days was the best, wouldn’t change a thing❤️
