…I will report back & post a vid when I receive my R33. Hoping you get one of Jin’s H08 “Hoglet” engines, Mr Thomas…
Definitely a great point on how the H08 would be easy / easier to work on than Jin’s other V2’s 🤙

I’ve got Jin’s R33 Evo on the way now… hoping that it will be here this week.
I bought the R28 V-twin when it was released w’ float bowl last year, and honestly was never impressed with it. It runs, just not very well.
I wanted to give Jin’s V twins another chance, so I bought the R29B Knucklehead from Stirlingkit…. Holy geez. The R29 is Jin’s “masterpiece.” I have literally put over 60 hours of run time on my R29, and it runs flawless. Starts with a single finger flip every time.
I had really high hopes for Jin’s R31 shovelhead… I got into a bidding war on eBay, when it was first released and paid a bit more than I wanted to. Unfortunately, the shovelhead that I got has had lots and lots of problems. I bought the upgraded camshaft from Jin, which helped, but not much. I was pretty bummed with the R31 even after hours of insomnia tweaking and tuning to get it running as it should.
Definitely have high hopes for the R33 Evo; Mr Jin has noted that the manufacturing process / CNC /surface finishing have all been improved, and parts quality in general further improved.
Something tells me that the R33 evo will be another one of Mr Jin’s masterpieces…. He’s an incredible engineer and looking forward to what he produces next!

Loved this comment and your news. So interesting. You share my interest and respect for Jin. I know, I know, some have issues. But so do car motors from some manufacturers...even Toyota, God forbid. I've just spent hours getting Jin's H73 running "perfect" and it's only let down by a fussy carb (loose needle can wiggle from side to side is not helpful). And just taking apart the back of the R28 to find no grease, the rockers were so loose the motor wouldn't run. Took the carb apart to figure it out. Figured out how to dismantle the float to try to get the valve sealing on that. It's better but not sealed yet. I'll have another go then lighten it by cutting off the protruding steel rod on top of the float. Test run after fixing valve lash and new plugs was amazing, best it's ever run. Second run too. Third run and it's only on one cylinder -sigh -
Lots of footage but I've been too unwell lately to put up a vid. Love your vid of the R29, black finned, this is the one I really wanted. So happy it runs like a dream for you...because it would be a bitch to disassemble; the only reason I haven't bought one. welcome, my friend, and you have a sub:)

Well Mr. Thomas, my R33 arrived this morning.
And yes sir. The R33 is Mr Jin’s new masterpiece. Beyond impressed. After taking it out of the box, I did do one thing; I removed the rocker covers and put a drop of marvel mystery oil down each pushrod tube.
did this bc whenI got my R31 shovelhead, out of the box it had a stuck lifter.
I ran the R33 on white gas & marvel oil 40:1,
it immediately started & ran perfect, could achieve a really nice low idle, and revved through the RPM range,
I didn’t get a chance to take some detailed pictures and share a video today, bc I was too busy running it 😁
Really gotta give Mr Jin applause on the R33…
I’ll make some videos tomorrow and share them on my channel. 🤙👍

No way. I haven't bought one. Also, there are "strategies" on auction sites that seem to involve listing an engine at ridiculous prices, then just expensive prices, then auction from $1 all at the same time. It's a bit psychological, I reckon. I don't think anyone pays those prices. I was just using that webpage to find info and pics of the new model
