Triple monitors and v-mirror- does not make sense for me, the HUD pedals I like visible and I place that on the dash, as part of the car ... the delta also much higher like above the virtual mirror ...
Distracting? Yes. But I could see it not being in the way if you're comfortable with the track and you know your landmarks and brake points which aren't really at center screen.
As others have said, that input controls box being in the middle of your screen is not good. It is distracting from where you need to be looking on track. Move it back to the default corner, out of your way. You don’t need to look at that pretty much ever, unless you are troubleshooting misbehaving controls hardware. Four things I notice about your driving: 1) In an attempt to be as quick as possible you are carrying too much speed on entry, and you are almost in a panic to control everything at that point. This is making you miss the apex quite often as you try to hustle through the entry portion of the corners, and this compromises your exit. Your exit is more important than your entry, especially at Monza where you’ve got such long straights. Every single km/h slower on exit means you’re losing more and more time down the straight. Try to make your corner entries more calm and relaxed so you can consistently have a better exit and your times will drop. Concentrate more on setting up to hit the apex and it should help your exits be more consistent and quick. Perhaps brake just slightly earlier so that you are off the brake slightly earlier and you have yourself and the car more settled to aim for the apex more accurately. 2) You seem to have a tendency to turn the wheel more than you should when you’re mid-corner when you feel the car is going to understeer towards the outside. The car will not turn more when doing so. This will only scrub off speed and heat up the tires, sometimes causing them to have less grip in following corners as a result. If you feel the car is going to understeer wide you probably need to take entry slightly slower, so refer again to #1 and concentrate on apexing and exiting more optimally. 3) Monza-specific, when you’re exiting onto the back straight you can make that corner much straighter and carry more speed down the whole straight as a result. The off-track boundary there is so far to the right. Avoid the grass on the right when you’re right at track-out, the fake green stuff is fine, but you can be to the right of that track boundary by a lot. Your whole car and be in that runout area. You just need to avoid the grass and be back on track where the runoff area ends. That means you can make that corner exit much straighter, and carry more speed through that corner as a result. Hard on the gas as you apex the right-hander and straighten out the left-hander to utilize the run-off area and you’ll gain a lot of time down the back straight. 4) Also Monza-specific, the last corner continuously gets wider and wider as you go through it. After you apex you can be flat out the whole way and hug the outside line. Since it keeps straightening out on its own as you continue through it, you can carry more speed through there than typical corners. This, again, will help you carry a lot more speed down the straight.
Now, obviously these are different cars with different braking points, downforce, etc., but hopefully you can still see some of my intent in the lines that I take, which should still be similar regardless of car. ruclips.net/video/dH1IK_4fs7s/видео.html
I second that. Also for 1) , I would add that you can be more aggressive on the curbs to have better exit, it takes a bit of practice & precision not to unsettle the car, but you won't break it that way in iracing.
What a tease! - I am waiting to buy this wheel since it was shown on last year's Sim Racing Expo, I am a huge Porsche-fan. Hopefully "soon" means indeed soon, and not soon™, as I am still sitting on my voucher from the delayed DD2 release, that I want to spend on this wheel. I hope there will be an all-in-one bundle, and we are not forced to buy all expensive individual components of the modular wheel one by one.
First 10 laps around Monza and my best was 1:51.975. First couple laps I was just trying to familiarize myself with the track. Not 100% even comparison, I did it on PC2 with a controller. No assists and manual. I'm in the process of building a rig, can't wait!
I always struggled with the second Lesmo until I saw an F1 driver on a trackwalk talk about how he makes sure the attack the apex and hook his front right over the curb. There was a very keep ridge on the curb that helped him rotate the car without having the brake more, after that I've not had a problem!
I don't think I have that car in GT Sport. Great Job! I ran a 1:50.541 with the AMG GT3 '16 in the Lewis Hamilton time trial challenge. I'm new to using my Logitech G29 Wheel.
And witch wheel is better this one or the BMW M3 g2? I'm ordering my setup this Thursday. I do have a pc as well. Please let me know. Love you videos 👍🏻
Im loving the new hub and the control panel is also able to be used with other rims for being the buttons as it isnt connected to this porsche rim I cant wait for this stuff I want this hub and rim so bad lol
I noticed that you changed over from the DD1 Base of the F1 bundle to the DD2 for your latest videos and I am wondering what you could recommend? Is the extra 5 NM worth the money or is DD1 still enough force? I want to buy a DD within next few weeks and I still don't know which one to buy, because I have no chance to try them out before. Thanks in advance for your advice :)
Any updates on when this Porsche wheel or the Endurance Button Module will be available..Been watching the Fanatec blog..but only info I've seen is from here or Sim Racing Expo videos....much want
Nice work, I’m roughly the same 1:52’s consistently. Only problem I have is finding a set up that works for me. If you could share your set up that would be awesome...
you should definitely be using most of the outside kerb on 2nd lesmo. try to get as close to the inside kerb as possible without touching it, because you will spin if you do.
note she is just turning the wheel and not knobs, probably because it doesn't work everywhere they need it to, will be useless to me if it doesn't work on ps4 too.
@SimRaceGirl 2 questions; #1 why are you using that gear/speed app in the middle of your sreen...? the gears are showing on your fanatec wheel and speed is relevant and i think it just distruct you! # 2 What camcorder are you using?I use a flipcam for my pov vids, but want to upgrade to 4k or so. But your look smooth also Good vids anyway. Groeten uit de lage landen ;-)
Thank you for all your content. I'm about to buy a PC tomorrow what game do you recommend for longer GT3 races and a good league for people who work at night?
Hi, just wondering is it possible to put a options in the next update for the fanatec 2.5 wheel base that turns off the curb vibration and still keep the weight in the steering. Because it makes a lot of noise, the option to turn it of or down would make a lot of people hapy. And also my 6month old baby boy would appreciate it to cheers!
Warning! Within 4 months of light use my FANATEC McLaren wheel cracked at the shifter pivot point and where it mounted to the QR. I was accused of over tightening although I used a torque wrench set at 3nm. FANATEC then replaced the wheel chassis admitting in writing it was a weakness in the wheel. Very soon after my CSL load cell pedal failed. I sent a video before sending the pedal set back as requested. I was required to make a follow up email after not hearing back. FANATEC said they can not fault the pedals asking if I want then sent back which I found a strange thing to ask? Eventually they were returned however within minutes I experienced the same issue which was consistent with magnetic interference from the CSL DD wheel base before the load cell pedal would completely shut down. I was beyond my limits at this point and driven to warn as many potential customers as I could while demanding a replacement. Following the usual delayed response, FANATEC then offered a replacement only if a show proof that they faulty load cell was again on its way back to them. FANATEC’s poor response time drove me to desperation. Keep in mind I have owned this new product for around 6 months when 2 major failures occurred. An electric technician overheard my experience and offered assistance. I was able to demonstrate the issue and within minutes the technician diagnosed a defective voltage regulator attached to the load cell circuit board. The voltage regulator is designed to reduce 5 volts coming from the wheel base or USB down to the required 3.3volts. There was no signal out of the regulator which he replaced. No thanks to FANATEC I am now enjoying my sim racing again while I hold my breath for the next FANATEC failure. Please take my advise and look at the FANATEC’s own forum in regards to all the issues they have and their terrible customer service.
Is this wheel compatible with csl elite ps4? If so do you just attach the rim and it works or do you have to add different things since its a podium series?
I don't know, her lines were pretty much on point. maybe trying to be abit more aggressive on the curb on first turn of the chicanes can help her get a better exit
@@theracingnoob7529 She's not using all of the track (racing surface) especially at corner entry on almost every turn. I can not speak to SIM racing but in a real race car, even a foot of unused track can make a big difference in corner exit speed and at a track like Monza, that exit speed translates to lost speed and increased lap time all the way down the following straightaway. If you exit a corner 2 MPH slower, at the end of the following straight you're 2 MPH slower. Do that at a track with several long straights and your lap time will suffer a lot. Being smooth AND consistent are keys to a fast lap. Oh and the HUD in the center of the screen is a BIG thing. You need to see the corner as soon and as far away as possible (depth perception is very important in hitting the correct breaking point) and with it being there, you can't see them. When you're within a couple of tenths one corner can be the problem but being off by 2-4 seconds translates to lots of missed opportunities just about everywhere.
From what I see the major refinement you could work on is getting rid of steering angle sooner. It feels like you kind of keep the car on leash from the apex ahead. My2c
You can't compare WR as you have no clue about the weather conditions which play a very big role. Last night I was racing the regular series and had 2 topdrivers in the split and they drove 1.50 laps....track was 39 degrees.

Seems like great feedback, slow in - fast out! Kristofers recommendation below also looks good
Clayton Macleod some great advice there mate ;)
I was looking and thinking the same thing there too, way too fast on the way in to some of those turns
Now, this is some constructive helpfull feedback. I like it, good tips.

where do you get your tunes for the porsche ?

The stress of working at Fanatec must’ve got to her (compared to 2 years ago)
She's getting even more stuff now so almost stress free! Well, maybe still stress when sim driving :-)
Brava , nice video
Can not wait to have it😍😍
Danke für das Video 😉

Thats a rly rly nice wheel! I need that!:)
Oooh nice , I love it
This video is straight comedy. Nice rim tho 🤙🏾
Great Video !! thank you...
I really enjoyed watching your videos, do you also review simulators(hardware)?

I'm just a new to this sim racing so my question is did you use any of those assist option?
question ,can i use the CSL ELITE pedals with a LC and g 29 steering on a ps 4?thanx

What kinda tires did you use?

How many rigs do you have?
I want that steering wheel!!!
You should start to stream when you play:) Great vid anyways

Are the Podium Porsche Wheel 30cm or 32cm?
