Serious tho amazing tech. I recently had lenses invasively installed . Unbelievable amazing vision. 20/20 2 days after surgery.. still get to get non invasive adjustment in couple weeks.. maybe 20/15 or better. It's crazy insane wow. I never had 20/20 my whole life..its so amazing.. highly recommend if u can afford. Cost extra of course. I'm 50 years old. It's just not vision correction either. Cataracts dim colors and brightness slowly over time. So, when fixed it's just an unbelievable change in eyesight. Brighter clearer colors pop. Unbelievable. Un fnn believable

It sounds a great option, sorry to hear these bad experiences, I start to doubt.

It has now been 8 weeks. I still have an "light adjustment" next week. There is no endpoint in sight. I still cannot see near or far. My life has been completely disrupted by repeated pupil dilation and laser adjustments. I still cannot see well enough to drive, chop vegetables, watch TV etc. I have used the UV blocking glasses scrupulously. Think carefully and consult with multiple surgeons before going down this long road with light adjustable lens implants.

      你好,請問已經過了一年,你的眼睛現時看得清楚嗎?我現時考慮是否要做light adjustment.

Did your eye Dr. figure out why you had a poor outcome? Did it change for the better?

I recently had IOL adjustable lens replacement surgery and am currently going through the process of adjusting the lenses. It has been over 4 weeks. I regret this decision. It cost over $7,000.00 . For over a month I have had severe visual disability. I am told it may still take another 2 weeks of laser adjustments. You have to be sedated twice so the surgical days are a complete wash. Your eyes are dilated repeatedly for the laser adjustment, so on these days, also your vision is severely impaired. The glasses you are provided, block UV light but provide no refractive help. For 4-6 weeks expect to NOT be able to see near, far or in between. Reading, cooking, using a laptop or watching TV is nearly impossible and driving is a challenge. I have had constant frontal headaches from eye strain. If you have a job, hobbies, grandchildren, volunteer work---expect to be severely limited during this process and unable to function for usual and basic activities. The surgeons equivocate---there is no guarantee that you will still not have the expense and nuisance of glasses/eyewear. It has taken me a really long time to write this comment and it has been a big effort, due to my current vision impairment.

@@anassyria5176 I'm not who you originally replied to, but I can say I am going through the same thing in terms of a month+ of not being able to see because the UV glasses are not prescription. I have had to buy about 6 sets of generic readers of different strengths, pop out the lenses, and tape them to the inside of UV glasses in order to attempt to function, and my vision is fluctuating so much that I have to swap out lenses throughout my day to try and find something that works. I am younger than the average cataract patient, so not being able to see is a MAJOR issue - driving to work, seeing my computer at work, etc. And because both near and far vision are affected by the removal of the cataract, and readers are just that - for reading - even using those taped-into-the-glasses lenses is not great. I can either sort of see my computer, or sort of see distance (all with awful distortion), but not both at once. I also have the constant eye strain headache from all of this. My first light adjustment is in an hour and a half, and I cannot wait till this is over. For anyone considering this surgery, I can't stress enough that you need to plan in advance for this, because it's a big deal.
