It's interesting how you say you kinda don't have a personal style because,, I really think you do! I've been watching you for years and you've always been a big influence for me. You made me realise that a person can have a lot of different aesthetics but they will have a personal style as a red thread through them. And you really have that. I can't say exactly what makes it, but it's evident in how you choose colours, textures, and just how you combine things in general. For me it's easy to see when someone indulges and picks out what they like in trends or if they just mirror the trends the internet/shops give them. That's the difference between having a personal style or not, I think, the actual thought behind the choice and combination. I hope that makes sense! I just adore the way your style works in many ways!

Thank you so much for this video!! Personal style is something I’ve been thinking about a ton recently, so this was very helpful. Sometimes it’s hard differentiating between what you like and what you’d actually wear. I really like skirts but I know I never wear them so there’s no point in buying any.
As for videos to see, I think I commented awhile ago that I’d like to see you styling outfits based on your viewer’s Pinterest boards with the clothes you have in your wardrobe, and that’s something I’d still like to see! And maybe an updated “closet essentials/personal style essentials” video, just things that are unique to your style.
The reason I rly liked ur trend content is bc I was curious to see what trend you like and which ones you don’t I honestly hate some of them and some more f them are not bad, but you have always had a personal style and I luv all your vids!! I just luv being able to see you put together an outfit!!

As for the kpop styling video, DEFINETLY GO FOR IT!! I think a great feture would be nct dream's istj mv. Specifically the outfits at the very begging where all of the members are wearing really colorful and over the top clothing pieces. You would absolutly rock that style!!

re: your barbie movie fit - I went for a pink and blue denim style cowgirl-esque look because for me barbie also meant mid-00s and that bubblegum pink and medium/light blue was THE colour palette for that!! you're not alone 🥰

I nominate Peyton Sawyer from One Tree Hill! This video really came at a perfect time for me, I also feel like I don't have a distinct style. It seems like everyone I follow online has a clear style that is wholly them, but maybe that is an illusion. Sometimes I think it's harder for creatives to have their own personal style because they want to experiment and get inspired in so many different directions. Having a personal style that's recognizable is a little overrated though I think. As long as you like what you're wearing, then no one should care if you've created your own aesthetic or not. My aesthetic is chaos it seems lol

Love love love the outfits!!!! I think more than trends, what I gravitate towards in your videos are themes! So for example the anime themes, the K-pop themes, the TV show themes; but I think there's some overlap (e.g. would cottagecore be theme or trend? Both?), and since those videos do well, it might be a correlation-causation thing 💕💕💕

Also, this style of video where you're almost taking us along while you're trying to figure out how to style an item, was really nice!!!!! It almost felt more relaxed. And I liked the inclusion of fits you're not entirely sure on, and why you'd gravitate to something else.

Katie I rarely comment but your personal style videos just bring SO MUCH & i know I'm not the only one, they have been for years & I even go back to rewatch old ones. I love peeking into people's brain to see what completely opposite aesthetics they love because I relate to that, I love my colourful trackies & crop racerback but then I love fair dresses & ridiculous heels on another day. I'm not part of nay fandoms but because you make everything your own I enjoy your content. For the Kpop comeback looks, I've been loving StrayKids! Their new album theme is 5 stars and I personally love stars so their looks have been really fun! I really liked their looks from their MBC230610방송 performance. I actually bought a shirt from one of the brands they are wearing, haha. Then for the Teen TV Style icons, PLEASE HAVE LIZZIE MCGUIRE IN THAT VIDEO! An icon she was and still is.

I think you can have a personal style *and* it be very broad and fluid! I've tried to narrow down my style but I really cannot just choose 1 thing, and I've come to accept that as much as I would love to be ever confident in my own unique style and not take any influence from trends, I absolutely am affected by trends sometimes lol and that's ok! at the end of the day fashion is really just art you put on your body and you don't have to only like a strict type of art. you can have multiple styles. I may draw semi-realistic one day and super cartoony/anime another. from an outside perspective to me it seems like you absolutely do have a personal style because it's so different from mine, it just covers a pretty wide range of stuff but I feel like some of the elements are the same in a lot of your outfits like the maximalism and contrasting colors and just a certain vibe idk. I have seen outfits on pinterest and thought "that's something stealthespotlight would totally wear" and to me, being able to recongize someone's style or their influences absolutely means they do have a persoanl style :)

I think you've always had some specific themes (like your layering techniques) in your personal style, even if its details have changed across time, and that's what's been so inspiring to see, because I strive to keep building my personal style and find my specific themes (layering and minimalism for example). 💕 I loved all the outfits, and I think if not having black in your outfits is too intimidating, maybe other darker colors would work, either as part of the outfit or in accessories?
I watch your videos because I like YOUR style and pov, not because I want to see the latest trends🥰 For me, the videos don’t even need to have a theme, I just wanna see you style outfits, but I understand that themed videos probably draw in more new/non-subscribed viewers.
Your personal style is your own and you own it so well. That's why I stick around to watch your videos, because you're not afraid to dabble in things like trends, but for the most part - you've figured out what looks good on you and that's so satisfying to witness. Like, that is the goal for me (as someone who grew up plus sized and uncomfortable with whatever is generally sold in stores), you break convention and just style things that you like. To me that is groundbreaking and why I never get sick of your videos. You are amazing and give me hope that I can style things the way I want to one day and be satisfied with it.
