I LOVED the side-by-side of you now vs six years ago! I'd love to see a video where you specifically restyle some of the outfits from your old youtube videos
I love videos like this because it distinguishes whether people look good because they're stylish or trendy. I like seeing your twist on old pieces and it's cool to see how your style has changed since you wore them originally. I love the idea of opening the dress + adding lace to make use of something that doesn't fit anymore. Also I really liked the "ugly" skirt outfit except maybe the belt. However, I do find myself adopting the unwanted "frumpy" clothing from thrift stores so it's something I'd gravitate towards. I'd pair it with something lacey or a corset but I love outfits that verge on costumey
As somewho who often questions and doubts their style it’s inspiring to see how much yours has changed and evolved through time. And even someone like you (who i’d consider ultimate stylish haha) has trouble deciding on outfits 🥰 You styled everything beautifully, and i’m in awe as always.
you could start with a declutter in categories like you mentioned! starting with small tops and then throughout the next months tackling other types of clothing~ the best part of a declutter is getting to know your clothes again so dont stress yourself if you decide to do one ^^
The idea of cutting the dress open and wear it as a tunic/apron is so good. I've donated several dresses that didn't fit me anymore and I could have just flipped them.
I love rompers 😭 I'm 5' 10" but short waisted, so they show off the legs. I love to style them with brightly colored, sheer shirts (the thrift closeout stores are filled w them) and fishnets that match the sheer shirt, then a heeled sandal that matches the romper. They're so much fun!
Perfect timing for this video!! I've spent the past 4 years curating more colorful, saturated clothes (think kidcore/arthoe/80s colorblock/sk8 the infinity), but lately I've been looking at more grungy, 90s/00s punk rock/visual kei inspired clothes (think nana osaki/tripp nyc/etc.). I don't want to keep buying more clothes since I don't need more, but I feel like I can't think of any ways to style my colorful clothes in a way that I enjoy.
Have you thought about maybe trying more oshare kei styling as sorta an in between? Similar to visual kei but more colourful so you can repurpose some of your older stuff?
I love seeing videos like this that encourage us to style what we already have!! You could look into sewing the yellow & white playsuit into a dress (or getting it tailored to a dress/top & skirt set). Leena Norms here on RUclips did something similar recently with the "clothes I never wear" where she sewed them to be things she actually would wear. I think it's such a good way to reduce fashion waste, which has such a big impact on the environment, and be more sustainable & long-term with our closets 😊 Edit: I finished watching and saw you did something similar with the gingham dress 😅 love that idea too!
when i saw the swirly pattern i thought it was impossible to style without evoking 2020 but of course i was wrong to doubt my queen 🥹🥹 the final look was so modern and amazing
14:21 wait why am I obsessed with that skirt. It’s kinda artsy but also chill at the same time. I’d probably do some tall white boots and a black turtleneck plus my hair in what my my says is a classy birds nest bun.
the outfit with the gingham dress/apron was my favorite!! the colors the silhouette everything was just perfect about it! i own a black trench coat and it's honestly one of my favorite pieces. it works so well with the more vampy vibes i often go for. beige trenchcoats on the other hand always make me think of columbo ^^'
Have you tried dyeing your clothes? Dresses like 3:20 would be perfect because it's such a good fit, it's just the pattern. You could bleach it to white then throw a nice color onto it. It's affordable too.
first time on this channel and i absolutely love the pace of the video!!! it's so refreshing to see video's like this where we just get straight to the point and show the actual outfits while still providing good information about the choices
i love these types of videos! :) i'm personally not someone who's following trends a lot, so my wardrobe still has clothes from 2015 as well and i just kept adding a few things over the years that i found pretty. so it's really interesting to see people styling clothes that aren't "in trend"!
I got recommended this on YT and I’m like “hmm, sounds interesting,” and then I get greeted by a TATA AND HINATA PLUSH and I’m like “OKAY” and then you zoom out and I see all the KPOP posters and anime figures and I’m like “HEYYYY” and then you start STYLING and I’m like, “OKAY, SLAAYY,” off to check out the rest of your channel now!! You’re super creative in how you style the different pieces, I never would have thought to do that with half the things you had!
90's grunge look book please. The denim skirt would look great if you went for a 90's grunge look a baby tee and docs and a leather jacket. You could also go a whimsygoth look with the denim maxi skirt or just 90's witch in general. A cute 90's anime or cute pastel kpop vibe could work with that skirt as well. I definitely associate the denim maxi with a witchy boho style like phoebe from friends. Love to see an accessories collection video, shoe collection video, room tour or a classic favourites video.
this immediately gave me a million ideas for pieces i don't ever wear! been following you since 2018 so it was extra gratifying to see these old clips and your style evolution
thank you for voicing everything i say about playsuits, they really are so weird to wear and still make wearable!! btw, are you still doing your battle of the teen show outfits video?? so excited for that one!
i didnt realise how sick i was of all the fashion channels that are so minimalist and boring until this video ohymgod i love your fashion sense so much
honestly the first item, the playsuit, if you are a bit handy with sewing clothes you have so many options! you could simply turn into a nice lil top, just chop chop and hem to finish it of OR you could make into a skirt, my plan would be to cut the leg parts of , and than sew on more material that is of the same or very similair fabric, personally i would go with the yellow of the flowers, but maybe there is a fun pattern that goes along with it. if you do that you can just do it like that, gather it , or pleat it, SO many options!!!
In love with the long denim skirt outfit, I feel like you nailed it, styling in a way that fits your taste and reinventing an old trend, just amazing! 💖
I'm new and thought the video was so cute! But I can't help but notice the 'Fruits Basket' manga behind you ❤ it's my FAVORITE show and most people don't really expect that from me. But it just made me smile so much. Lots of love.
first-time viewer here! i feel validated after watching this video and reading the comments. i always wonder if i even have a personal style because it changes every year (or so). i was also easily influenced by the people i hung out with. seeing how different you used to dress is so comforting because it feels like everyone discovers their style through trial and error. lol. i absolutely love how you dressed up those older pieces! subscribed for more :)
love this! so inspiring🥰 you could make the last maxi skirt into a two piece or pull it up so it's a bandeau dress (so it would be midi) and then add a corset on top
loveee this vid!! i also struggle with getting rid of clothes so this is inspiring me to style some of my old ones in a new way.. i feel like the maxi denim skirt would look banging with a jersey or something, like leaning more masc with the styling!
With the playsuit, you could always talk to a tailor to see if they can adjust it to be a dress. It may be difficult, I don't know if it would be easy to hide the seam in the middle, but there seems to be enough fabric for it
I like that you mentioned feeling almost lost with fashion right now, it makes me feel better that I only wear the same two outfits right now knowing you do that sometimes to. I forgot to think about how you’re a person outside of the videos and you have periods where you aren’t constantly flowing with fashion ideas
as always i loved all the fits you created but the plaid crop top was my favourite! i was just recently inspired to create this sillouette with a little courset top, button up and miniskirt because i saw it on Cate from Gen V and she honestly slayed that.she also made me like the "growing out your regular bangs" looking short curtain bangs. always go to fictional characters for style inspiration lmao
i actually really like the last skirt i would personally either wear is as a dress with a corset belt or a chunky sweater never goes wrong with a funky skirt in my opinion
I LOVED the side-by-side of you now vs six years ago! I'd love to see a video where you specifically restyle some of the outfits from your old youtube videos
yes!! i second this
third this
i fourth this!
Your light-lilac translucent top is just marvelous! And the creamy ribbons in your hair are so cute!
I love videos like this because it distinguishes whether people look good because they're stylish or trendy. absolutely loved the last skirt and how you styled it! such a unique graphic, even tho its not your fave 😭
I want every piece of that outfit! 😭
i’m obsesssed with the maxi skirt
exactly!! its such a cute skirt && now i need to figure out where i can buy a belt like that one
tbh i like the "donate" skirt outfit
Styling a trenchcoat with the over-the-top outfit feels so fresh and fun, I think you truly nailed it!))
As somewho who often questions and doubts their style it’s inspiring to see how much yours has changed and evolved through time. And even someone like you (who i’d consider ultimate stylish haha) has trouble deciding on outfits 🥰 You styled everything beautifully, and i’m in awe as always.
It’s actually really easy to turn playsuits/rompers into a dress!
you could start with a declutter in categories like you mentioned! starting with small tops and then throughout the next months tackling other types of clothing~ the best part of a declutter is getting to know your clothes again so dont stress yourself if you decide to do one ^^
I like the swirly pattern tbh

I am convinced there is nothing you can’t style into something amazing. Fun video as always! 🤩

i related so hard to when you said you felt like you were in costume to fit in! did the same in college and i feel so much more comfortable now.
when i saw the swirly pattern i thought it was impossible to style without evoking 2020 but of course i was wrong to doubt my queen 🥹🥹 the final look was so modern and amazing
the last skirt is so cute:(
the skirt you called ugly is so beautiful i can't 😣
14:21 wait why am I obsessed with that skirt. It’s kinda artsy but also chill at the same time. I’d probably do some tall white boots and a black turtleneck plus my hair in what my my says is a classy birds nest bun.

Why did I absolutely LOVE that last skirt????

Second combo with the swirly shirt reminded me so much of the early Bratz dolls, so cute.
Happy to see my queen back!!
Loveee how you styled the wave dress, it really brought the print back to something a little more current
i really loved the last outfit!!! it’s 100% something i’d wear 💖
90's grunge look book please. The denim skirt would look great if you went for a 90's grunge look a baby tee and docs and a leather jacket. About the trenchcoat: maybe you can personalize it with batches or spraypaint or something?
the last skirt is beeeeeeeautiful
this immediately gave me a million ideas for pieces i don't ever wear! been following you since 2018 so it was extra gratifying to see these old clips and your style evolution
The Trenchcoat is the win of this video! Incredible!
The mauve-y red hair color would be so cute on you!
I love how you make me see a lot of clothing items differently with ur videos
thank you for voicing everything i say about playsuits, they really are so weird to wear and still make wearable!! btw, are you still doing your battle of the teen show outfits video?? so excited for that one!
8:04 this is so cher from clueless so cute
i didnt realise how sick i was of all the fashion channels that are so minimalist and boring until this video ohymgod i love your fashion sense so much
The channels where the girls wear thrifted fashion are so much more fun.
honestly the first item, the playsuit, if you are a bit handy with sewing clothes you have so many options! you could simply turn into a nice lil top, just chop chop and hem to finish it of OR you could make into a skirt, my plan would be to cut the leg parts of , and than sew on more material that is of the same or very similair fabric, personally i would go with the yellow of the flowers, but maybe there is a fun pattern that goes along with it. if you do that you can just do it like that, gather it , or pleat it, SO many options!!!
as its getting colder I’m wearing my 2017 teddy coat again and I forgot how cozy it was!!
14:41 i feel like that skirt is something my elementry teacher would have worn in the late 90s early 00’s 😂💖
you slayed the layering with the bandeau tops and the maxi button down skirt fit was perfect
omg you would look so good with dark hair! your inspiration is definitely going in the right direction
the purple outfit in 8:15 really makes you look like you're in nmixx o.o mv (that part where it's all flowers and cute stuff) i love it
Full declutter video!!!
loved the last skirt, also try putting it above the chest and then layering with stuff on top before you get rid of it
the purple crop over the babydoll blouse with fluffy skirt is soooo precious! love that outfit on u!!
LOVE the plaid outfit! The cherries 😚👌
In love with the long denim skirt outfit, I feel like you nailed it, styling in a way that fits your taste and reinventing an old trend, just amazing! 💖

The last one was giving Phoebe from friends and has me wanting that skirt lol
I'm new and thought the video was so cute! But I can't help but notice the 'Fruits Basket' manga behind you ❤ it's my FAVORITE show and most people don't really expect that from me. But it just made me smile so much. Lots of love.
i LOOVE the layering of the denim skirt! so very slay
Omg yesss that 2nd haircut would look so good in you girl
i think your hair is super pretty rn the blonde is a perfect shade and the roots remind me of kenma in the best way
This is the BEST "styling" video I have ever seen. The clashing plaid outfit and frilly purple white combo is *actual chefs kiss*
That first hair colour choice you showed (and cut) is STUNNING and would suit you almost too well! Xx
Ok, your outfit in the beginning is giving Phoebe Halliwell! LOVE!
Id totally take that last skirt
first-time viewer here! i feel validated after watching this video and reading the comments. i always wonder if i even have a personal style because it changes every year (or so). i was also easily influenced by the people i hung out with. seeing how different you used to dress is so comforting because it feels like everyone discovers their style through trial and error. lol. i absolutely love how you dressed up those older pieces! subscribed for more :)
you look so lovely in this video wow ur makeup and the bows, sooo cute
i love those last two op shop pieces!
love this! so inspiring🥰 you could make the last maxi skirt into a two piece or pull it up so it's a bandeau dress (so it would be midi) and then add a corset on top
That outfit with the trench coat is gorgeous oh my god?
You with that crop top is like me with sleeveless.... I never wear them until I changed my mindset, once I think of them as vest I wore them more 😅
loveee this vid!! i also struggle with getting rid of clothes so this is inspiring me to style some of my old ones in a new way.. i feel like the maxi denim skirt would look banging with a jersey or something, like leaning more masc with the styling!
Stop the intro outfit IS TO DIE FOR!!🤍💜
I honestly dont know how you style everything so perfectly! X
With the playsuit, you could always talk to a tailor to see if they can adjust it to be a dress. It may be difficult, I don't know if it would be easy to hide the seam in the middle, but there seems to be enough fabric for it
I wanna style my trench coat but its too cold here i woke up and saw snow on the ground
Also the last skirt you can try pulling it up to wear as a dress and belt it perhaps?
i need you to do a video of your favorite hairstyles or your makeup routine atm they're always on point🙌
I would LOVE to see a decluttering video💕
I like that you mentioned feeling almost lost with fashion right now, it makes me feel better that I only wear the same two outfits right now knowing you do that sometimes to. I forgot to think about how you’re a person outside of the videos and you have periods where you aren’t constantly flowing with fashion ideas
you styled the playsuit SO WELL !! i actually gasped when i saw the full fit
I audibly gasped at the gingham fit 💕
i get so happy whenever u post
as always i loved all the fits you created but the plaid crop top was my favourite!
i was just recently inspired to create this sillouette with a little courset top, button up and miniskirt because i saw it on Cate from Gen V and she honestly slayed that.she also made me like the "growing out your regular bangs" looking short curtain bangs.
always go to fictional characters for style inspiration lmao
The last two outfits were a SLAY !!!
I really liked the first one with the playsuit!! I think you should try to turn it into a dress/ long top?? Situation to feel more comfortable
Also omg that silver skirt just stunning with those pretty pink tones
Thank u for putting where the items are from in the descriptionn!!!!
I loved all the outfits but omggg the last piece is sooo cute I love it 😍
That last skirt would be so cute if you wore it as a dress with a corset over!
i actually really like the last skirt i would personally either wear is as a dress with a corset belt or a chunky sweater never goes wrong with a funky skirt in my opinion
It's interesting how the more color blocks you have on the taller you're looking
What if you put the buttons on the maxi skirt backwards? Or with the buttons down the side
STOP I LOVE LILROTINI
I need to know what to look up for a tutorial of the little double bun ribbon hairstyle like you had for the purple crop top look 🥺
