Fantastic video! Thank you for such sharing your information. This is by far the best video explaining what process one should do to perfect their cutting settings without wasting ink. Never thought about going about it with just the Print setting!

Hi Melissa, i'm having issues where fine prints are printing double lines, would you be able to say how i can perfect the print even though i've set the bidirectional adjustment on a Roland bn20?

melissa, i just got my bn20a and im wondering how do I add registration marks and trace an image to import into versaworks to cut on another plotter? What blade is best for vinyl stickers? is i 45 degree or 60 degree? How do I convert to PDF to use in versaworks?

I have a vinyl express 60inch but its used for auto wraps. I realllly need help! moving from siser/ecotanks to bn20 is really a big change.

You can use the Roland and Siser Juliet or Romeo together. Here's a video ruclips.net/video/--hSeKgZLA0/видео.html

@SilhouetteSchool would you suggest the siser cutter or should I get a small graphtec or gcc? Are they equally fast. I have a juliet but 12inch cut is too small

Awesome. I didnt know it was possible to do a die cut like this with paper also shaped like the sticker!!!nice! Im using regular sticker paper. recently replaced my blade and im not going through enough.. Tried the cut only. But when setting pressure like above with cut condition settings , no cut happens. with no cut conditions set, I get a line but not deep enough. 😬

Sounds like you need to adjust the force setting

@@SilhouetteSchool Yep I tried... Force of 20, 50, and 100. Maybe I gotta try go 200? . I'll message back if I figure it out....I want to try that die cutting. A much better user experience I would think.

It looks like a good printer, but it works with eco-solvent ink?

Hey there! The Roland BN-20A is an ecosolvent printer, yes. We have a full section of the blog dedicated to it! www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/p/roland-bn-20a-and-versaworks-tutorials.html

Hey there, there are several BN-20A bundles listed and their benefits: www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/p/roland-bn-20a-and-versaworks-tutorials.html I honestly do not know anything about importing to other countries.

Love your videos, you've been so helpful. There is a print house video stating bn20's are not for perfcuts, you'll tear up the cutting strip. I learned this after I had to replace my cutting strip😢

You can do perf cuts with the BN-20 and BN-20A. It's not a work around or hack, the machine and software are designed to do it. The key is making sure your settings are dialed in so you're not cutting too deep and cutting into the cutting strip.
