  • 61-year old Lauran is a recent patient who has undergone extensive cosmetic surgery, but using my newest technique, hasn't required drains as a part of her recovery.
In addition to a deep plane facelift, she also had a deep necklift, browlift, earlobe reduction, and fat transfer to the face, and correction of a droopy chin.
She has average swelling. The little bit of stiffness around her mouth as she speaks will resolve in the next week or two.
This technique is a complete paradigm shift from extensive “delamination” to performing a true, extended deep plane facelift with less than half of the skin dissection traditionally required.
You could call it “preservation” deep plane facelifting.
With this technique, recoveries are faster, face/neck drains are unnecessary, results are better yet more natural, and there is less biological stress on the tissues.
One of the most common questions I get when I teach this technique is “But does it work for people with extreme skin looseness?”
Lauran has a good example of a looser skin type.
Watch her journey, see how she does, and judge for yourself.
