- HOW DID HE WIN!! Today in master duel we are recreating one of the most iconic match ups in the entire Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise. Bakura vs Yugi We will be doing this by recreating their structure decks within Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel! Who will come out on top in this legendary duel!

Didn't he kind of do that when he tried making Atem forfeit by acting like normal Bakura? Granted he refused to win that way, but still. (Sorry if that's not entirely what happened, haven't seen the show in a while)

I would love it if Doto and SeeReax would recreate all the duels from the Battle City Tournament Arc. There's plenty of gems they could pick from in that Arc alone besides Yugi and Bakura.
Edit: Thank you guys and Doto himself for the love on my idea. I have passion for Yu-Gi-Oh and crippling depression/schizophrenia, and these videos from Doto and others in the newest game has been comforting me while I look for help and a new job. ❤️

To be fair. Dark Bakura wasn't trying to win the whole tournament. He was more concerned with scouting and gathering as many Millennium items in one place as possible to steal them...if I remember right.
Yeah, his endgame was having all the items return to the Pharoah's tomb so he could release Zorc. He didn't care about the tournament, the god cards or even WHO returned those items. In the last season, he even managed to snag all of the items while Yugi was sleeping, but he returned all but the ring to him since he knew Yugi was going to go to the tomb anyways.
But tô have the milennium artifact, he should start winning some duels...

@@icarosro Nah, he doesn't need to win duels, he can just steal em. And the milennim ring doesn't give him any kinda advantage in a duel either. It just leads him to "what he most desires"

I reckon he picked it up from Duel Links. In the Jaden vs Chazz match he said “time to battle” in the exact same tone and delivery as Jaden does in that game.

Not gonna lie, these decks exemplify what old yugioh embodied, lots of silly fun and goofy ass cards, but they always seemed tuned to power against one specific match up...but idk damn, it made it fun.
And now it’s all about a 1 turn win and negates. Destroyed Yu gi oh 😭

Only issue is that the structure decks might just not have field spells since they usually just used Speed World (or whatever it was called) in the anime.
@@KaseyC. they can substitute the appropriate cards (earthbound geoglyph and whatever the other one needs), they've substituted cards before

These old school duels bring me back. Good memories.
With the Yu-Gi-Oh meta becoming a full board of negates seeing how old duels played out looks fun!
No seven+ negates, no game-deciding handtraps, otks were considered cheese strats(and core pieces often ended up banned), and duels were properly back-and-forth. The issue, though, is that archtypes weren't really delved into yet, so all the competitive decks were pretty cookie cutter.
A format with old Yugioh's power level and modern Yugioh's focus on variety would, imo, be straight up the best card game.

Everything with a competitive side has “meta staples” so when yugioh has it why is it a problem. This is the most genuine case of git gud and stop complaining I’ve ever seen🤦🏾♂️

bro these duels are literally my favorite thing to watch right now old school yu-gi-oh (everything up to and including synchro summoning) is just so hype! the boss monster's are epic and the back and forths are actually wild wish i had a friend that was into doing it with me or master duel had theme deck modes.

I'll admit, as someone who really only ever played "Playground Yu-Gi-Oh", as I've heard it called, getting into Master Duel has been INCREDIBLY overwhelming, since I don't really know anything after season 1 of GX, so these videos are my favorite to watch, it's all a little more my speed right now :)

Yeah I gave up on master duels after a week or so, the game is just overly complex to me, the barrier to entry for new players is incredibly high.

i ould love to see a new destiny board called "board of talking souls" and it works like destiny board except that when you get the last card in the spel land trap card zone, it deals 10,000 damage to the opponent. Eac h spirit message card has an effect like "decrease the damage you take by half" or "if a monster would be destroyed, it isn't once per turn" or "once per turn gain life points equal to the combined attack of your opponent's monsters" and other stall like effects.

it would be cool if y'all did a "remix" of these decks to make them more modern (having an actual extra deck or removing some of the vanilla mons that do nothing for the deck)
There are some modern versions of Bakura’s cards like Curse Necrofear- would be cool to seek them do character decks with the newer support cards.

Honestly, i loved how Yami Bakura Fought Yugi or Marik, He simply was a narcissist! Even if he lost he took it like a champ! I play the destiny board Achetype because of Bakura alone! He may not had slot of screen time, but when he showed up, he stole the show! At least for me. When i get to master duel, I'm remaking my destiny board! (Konami, you messed up! No animation for the win condition!?)

Honestly I was hyped to see Deion win with Destiny Board. I think its a really cool win condition that's almost impossible to pull off in modern YGO. Seriously though, how does it not have an animation??
Dunno about other alt wins like the Numeron card and whatnot, so I could be wrong, but my guess would be just that it's not only less iconic but also less useable than alt wins like Exodia. People who don't play/watch Yu-Gi-Oh know Exodia, while I honestly forgot about Destiny Board before this video.
@@KaseyC. Fair enough. Its one of those cards/moments that has stuck with me since watching it as a kid but its definitely one of the more obscure ones. All someone has to do is wait until you have 4 letters then pop your Destiny Board with Feather Duster, MST, or something else for it to be devastating. Still, it can work with a bunch of negates.
@@chimkinbiscuit3793 Feather Duster is too much. MST the I and you're fucked, since they have to be placed in order. Insta locks you from 3 back row spots.

Light force Sword actually has a meta equivalent now. It's called Appointer of the Red Lotus. It lets you look at your opponent's hand and get rid of a card for a turn. So if you know the kind of deck your opponent has, you can banish an important combo piece and potentially just win.
This so great because besides Marik, Bakura was my fav
