An incredible plane flown by a fantastic team working crew who don't give a damn about harnesses. They obviously have confidence in themselves and the plane. I wish I knew what they were saying. That would make the experience better for us passengers. Great video and thanks for uploading. I shall be watching more.

That is hard work. I was ground crew and flight crew flying the system in the 1980s. You never get enough sleep.

Wonderful video! Beautiful old school technology. All analogue stuff and a bunch of crew: pilot, co-pilot, navigator, radio-operator and probably more than one flight and systems engineers.
the thick humming sound of the turboprops tho. just outstanding. old lady doesn't even need roll maneuver at start, she just lifts herself up.
either the machine is exceptional or the crew, the smooth landing shows what theses birds are!
Both pilots wearing "test pilot" badges I think they are Antonov's factory test pilotes.

Outstanding video! Very professional multi-screen editing. I didn't think I'd go the whole journey with this video but it's mesmerising.The highpoint for me was the radio dude (?) down in the lower nose. Just before the first take-off from Zurich he actually genuflects! Twice! It certainly wouldn't fill me with confidence had I been on-board with them. It's just me but the Skipper and the First Officer (wearing Test Pilot badges) were both looking at the cockpit instruments like they'd never seen them before... What a tiny, cramped cockpit for such a huge aircraft. Crew comfort obviously not high on the Russian Air Force's agenda. Was that five or six in the main cockpit? No secrets among that crew! First pilot name is Vladimir Yurievich Mosin( vova ), second pilot is name Viktor Goncarov. Mosin is a captain plane's AN 225.

Very interesting, flight crew aren't using their seat harnesses. I flew C-130s for a long time and we strapped in for everything, including ground maintenance runs.

Super Video. Top.👍. Selten so was feines gesehen. Die An-22 ist das größte Propellerflugzeug der Welt, wenn ich mich nicht irre. Und brutal laut mit ihren gegenläufigen Propellern. Sie ist zwar schon alt, aber noch bei der Russischen Luftwaffe im Dienst. Alles ist fantastisch, die Maschine, die Crew und vor allem die Stimmung an Bord. Ich hoffe, dass wir noch mehr solcher Videos sehen, die sehr aufschlussreich gestaltet sind. Ein Lob fürs einstellen. 😊👍

I wondered why the flight crew looked like the proverbial Russian weight lifters until I saw one of them checking the controls for free and full movement before taxi. Probably no need for a gym membership in that job! Definitely want a very professional loadmaster crew as well with that load. Great video thanks.

I liked the navigator so dedicated and busy working out the route .
1:24 Glory to the Soviet Tashkent aircraft manufacturers of the plant TAPOiCH !!! This is the only Ukrainian flying board. In Russia, 3 flying screw giants remained. My father built all the Anteas, then the IL-76 ... and I also happened to build the IL-76. This is a reliable technique!

39:45 - I'm thinking 2.5 Metres per Second Climb? meaning that the position of the needle is not far off from the equivalent instrument in a C172 and they're doing about 500ft/min?

everything in the Antonov Air lines all the plane are Analog except the Map/GPS. which is harder to fly from the An 225-Mriya to the An-22 you must be a Master of Detail now that is Amazing.
