Thank you so much for sharing this information. I am a 60 yo woman that has a huge gap in my résumé & I need to change careers; 4 strikes against me right there. I used to be in the dental field for 27 years (USA). Then I started going to college to change careers, got into a physical therapy program, but then my elderly parents got sick so I never got to finish my degree. I ended up caring for them for years until they passed. While I took care of them, I did learn a lot that I could put on a résumé, but I don’t have W-2s to back it up. I don't think I would be that happy as a PTA.
During the Covid lockdown, I started my SELF TAUGHT learning adventure of horticulture and semi hydroponic plant systems, which is what I am really good at. Horticulture and animals are my favorite things in life (way more than humans for sure). I’ve always had a green thumb since I was a little kid. I have over 70+ indoor plants, probably more. They are all in semi-hydroponic substrates. I usually use a PONS like substrate. I do a DIY PONS mix so I can control the fertilizer. No soil, except for my huge Christmas cactus that blooms all year. If I can get a job working with both, maybe even together, I would be very happy in life!
Your videos definitely gives me incentive to push towards a horticulture career.💚🍀🍀🍀🍀🌴

Is it just me, or does the world of horticulture, or those who practice it tend to lean towards "organic?" I personally much prefer eating conventional food and I use a lot of chemicals on my plants. I even support GMO's and Monsanto, now called Bayer! I for some reason get a lot of abuse for being into GMO's? ) :< I'm sick to the back teeth of organic nuts getting at me just because I prefer conventional food over "organic!"
