Today, I’m going to show you an entire night with my newborn baby. You can see what our typical night looks like.
Like new parents all over the world, we wake up several times during the night to feed our baby.
In addition to the same experiences as other parents, we also have our Tibetan way of getting the baby to sleep well. That is to put the ashes of a butter lamp on a baby’s nose for protection and a good sleep.
The baby's pillow, filled with barley seeds, is made by his grandma. It is said to be good for a baby to have a better head shape.
And the swaddle for my son is used by his mother in her baby time. A handmade swaddle that was passed down for two generations... so cool, right?
Since my wife and I are both first-time parents, there are still a lot of things to learn about caring for a baby. If you have any tips for taking care of babies, please feel free to tell me.

Congratulations on you new baby Jamyangla. You are a very good father. The only thing I feel you should not give is baby formula. It is not healthy. The best is mother’s milk. It has everything the baby needs.

Remind me my old time taking care of my baby. Enjoy these wonderful times seeing your baby grow. I would recommend putting baby in a separate baby crib to sleep. It is for safety reason. Adults blanket or comforter will accidentally cover the face of the baby when adults move during the night when sleeping. Babies cannot move it away when this happens. This will lead to tragedies. I almost lost my life when I was a baby because my parents comforter accidentally flipped onto my face. I have heard many of the similar unfortunate accidents in the past. So, we always put our baby in crib. Just a piece of advice.

Jangyang, congrats on your new baby. I've concerns though about your placing him at the edge of the bed. Looks not safe enough. Better use a baby bed, and place it beside your bed.
I agree, baby bed could even be between them but on the edge seems very dangerous
