I like the prefectural museums where it tells you the history of the prefecture all the way back to geologic formation and fossils. Sounds like the last museum you went to.

Yah, if there's a real 6+ with a depth less than 1km, you can count on everything that's breakable to be broken. Windows, lamps, plates, glasses... all those create extra hazards. Probably a good idea to put a first aid kit or disaster kit near the front door, affixed to the wall with some velcro and tape. At least then you can just snatch it on your way out. Thanks, fella~! In Australia, large, gigantic bush fires to us are what earth quakes are to Japan. We were taught as kids to "get down low and go, go, go!" when there was a bush fire or fire in general. We had to practice this several times a year at school, along with lock down and emergency evacuation drills.
So to enter the earthquake training I just need to find Livakivi first? Time for a visit to Japan's countryside I guess, he's probably in that forest he keeps making videos about.
I lived through a 6.3 quake that destroyed my home and work in 2011, the ol' PTSD still flares up when a truck goes past, or someone moves the bins causing a rumbling sound :') doing this experience would probably give me the biggest panic attack hahaha
I'm impressed by the earthquake simulator. It looks like the shaking includes a vertical movement component. I've seen others that leave out the up-and-down motion because it's too dangerous.
