yeah, on the tape loki heard, HWR said 'I would be proud to lead with you' to Ravonna. So he either grew to care more about her/love her at some point and brought her in to lead with him for a while before wiping her memories, or he wiped her memories right after the recording. Either way, the not doing partners thing stayed consistent.
am i the only one that got emotional when Victor Timely told Sylvie that he makes his own choices?? i feel so bad for Victor Timely because he just SEEMS like a guy who wants to show off his inventions to the world. he seems like he has that childlike wonder energy about him. he seems so innocent. but i noticed he still has kang traits. he doesn't want any partners. he just wants all the credit and no matter what kang variant it is all of them have one purpose: to conquer. so i still have my reservations about him. but we'll see. i really really loved this episode. this has been my favorite episode thus far. i have sooooo many theories and i don't know which one will come true. miss minutes is reminding me of Jocasta (look her up if you don't know her). miss minutes said she wants a body. and with this love triangle going on between renslayer, timely and miss miutes i feel like miss minutes "secret" is that renslayer is the human body of her. but idk i could be wrong. fantastic episode tho
You're not the only one. Acting skills aside, I believe it was for intentional for us to feel and care about him, by showing us he was just a child when he got that book, and apparently he has troubles with speaking
Tara Strong as Miss Minutes proves once again why she is one of the greatest voice actors OF ALL TIME! Also Victor Timely, Miss Minutes and Sylvie are all tragic victims of the original Kang in many ways. Miss Minutes because all she wanted from Kang was love, which being the evil bastard he is used that to ensure her loyalty and nothing else. Sylvie because like Victor, she is a variant who had her life ruined because she wanted break the cycle and be a good person. And Victor because he is much like Leonardo Da Vinci or Nikola Tesla, a genius ahead of his time who wants to genuinely make the world a better place, but is a victim of forces beyond his control, just like Sylvie. Also I honestly never thought we would ever get a mention of Thor’s REAL BIOLOGICAL BROTHER BALDER! Aside from God Of War 2018 he NEVER gets mentioned in any mainstream franchise.
He was supposed to be part of the Illuminatis in Multiverse of Madness and played by Daniel Graig, but it got canned with all the reshoots, so either this show has been shot to reference that, or it's a fun little quip about it.
27:39 He just gave us a heartwarming speech about making his own choices, all we need from him is to fix the loom and then we can get rid of him, we will keep our eye on him, if he's evil and betrays us , we will just kill immediately.
Great episode. The last 20 minutes was very immersive. Majors and Strong were great. P.S. the money under the hat was paying his "partner" who helped up the bids. And the stuttering wasn't an act.
He Who Remains originated in the 31st Century. He mentioned that in his backstory from S1. Victor is a variant of himself he pulled out of some other timeline and placed in the Sacred Timeline in the 1800's, probably as a baby.
Remember when Loki checked with the Hunters regarding Dox's loyalists he was told that they got everyone that had not run away, so those loyalists are now spread through the timeline where they can continue to do mischief.
We know that at some point, Rensselaer was an ally to he who remains through the Multiverse War and the setup of the TVA. We also know that when we first meet her in season 1 episode 1, she doesn't even have any idea about the existence of he who remains, she totally buys into the timekeepers thing. I'm sure that however that change occurred has something to do with the secret that Miss minutes was referring to
I think it has something to do with episode episode one of this season, when Loki found everyone at the TVA having their minds wiped to erase Kang from their memories. We've seen Renslayer's original place on the timeline, as a teacher, last season.
You guys made me think. I thought the ""Always" in the recording from episode 2 sounded like Tara Strong. I wonder if Miss Minutes is still acting for He Who Remains and somehow he will put her mind in Ravonna's body.
You are assuming that Victor was the 'Kang' that Loki heard in the recording. There is a multiverse of other Kangs at least one of them should be willing to partner with her.
I'm a bit worried that Victor might be putting on an act. Pretending to be timid when in fact he's truly evil. A future Kang may have got to him before the timelines were pruned & started growing back.
This isn't He Who Remains. HWR stated that he came from the 24th century. He didn't know what would happen when he died, if the one who'll come back is really him him. I think this is the Kang variant who HWR chose as his successor, so he sent Ms Minutes & Renslayer to aid his rise.
The acting in this episode was phenomenal from everyone and Johnathan majors really displayed his acting skills, ok miss minutes is wildin no gracias I'm with Victor timely moving on 😂. Great reaction wendy and Dustin 😊❤
I agree, Miss Minutes knows all of 'He who remains ' secrets. I think it was important that Miss Minutes was in the pad when Sylvie sparred Timely's life. Idon't think it was an accident that she went into the pad saying I love you and came out the pad not knowing what occurred and still saying she loves him. You can see how discourage Miss Minutes was when she saw he was not there. Miss Minutes did not hear Timely plead he was different and could think for himself. I believe Miss Minutes is this season's villian and her downfall will be asumming she knows Victor Timely so well.
Victor Timely is just another variant from the branch timeline as stated. He Who Remains is the variant from the Sacred Timeline, because obviously he has to keep his own timeline to exist as the only variant
Victor is a variant from 31st century plucked out of his timeline by HWR and placed on the Sacred Timeline in the 1800's. Likely as a baby and doesn't know he's from the future. All the Nathaniel Richards were born in the 31st century as HWR explained in his backsotry in S1. Victor still exists on the Sacred Timeline, unaltered. This Victor is a variant of the variant.
I don't think miss minutes needs herself to be created again, she already exists. This is a new story, but she survived from the old, nothing needs to repeat.
@themoviecouple Miss Minutes is crazy AF!!! What secrets does she have?? At first glance I thought that ship they were on was the same ship that got pruned in episode 5 of season 1
A black man in the late 1800's n business..even after being called "boy" twice..n America..the studdering & fearful con man makes sense..perfect acting decision
The man who started the bidding for Timely's device is what we call a "shill." Timely paid him to pretend interest in purchasing the Temporal Loom to get the big spender to become involved in a bidding war.
Victor is not Kang, they say it early in the episode, he is a variant, not every version has the same life, look at Spider-Man, DS2 Captain Marvel and Wandas variants
Hi Dustin and Wendy Love your reaction to episode 3 of loki season 2 This season is getting more excited every single episode happy to see the scene where we saw an ant man and the wasp. Only 3 episodes to go see you guys in the next video !!!💚💚
YES ! I called it last week, that we'd be seeing HWR's origin's story, and that it would be kickstarted by an interaction in some way, shape or form with OB, making him a central figure of how Timely came to know about TVA tech and become a mad scientist, to become later He Who Reains, going through a true Ouroboros, the beginning at the end. Also, love that we see Victor seemingly be an innocent harmless cunning con artist, but in one single episode, he still showed us the villainous side of him, by dropping Renslayer at the top of a hat for saying one single sentence he didn't like.
HWR is a variant who lived in the 31st century. We got his backstory in S1. Victory was pulled out of the 31st century of another timeline and placed on the Sacred Timeline as a baby most likely. This is why he doesn't know he's from the future.
There is No variant of He Who Remains Specifically They are all Kang They are all Variants of Kang they just have different personalities circumstances to who, where or when they are and what Timeline they exist in. the one thing about Kang is that we have to prevent the thought of "this is our main guy", this is the same concept in comic books for Kang there is no "Main Kang" they are all Kang they are all different at times but they are all Him regardless if they are called Crimson Centurion, Rama tut, Or Kang The Conquerer, so to say this one is the main Kang or that one is will have you running in circles.
@@thrillshill What makes you says this? If Kang exists in the MCU, which he does (regardless of whether or not he is the big bad), his real name will be Nathaniel Richards.
@@thrillshill I ask you WHY you say this, but you just answer by repeating the same empty statement. I guess you have no reason to think what you think and you're just talking out of your arse. Fair enough.
I might be one of the only people who think Timely ain't that good. Dude literally dropped Raynslayer in a boat in the middle urging of a sentient AI he truly had no reason to trust, other than being a jackazz about not liking partners.
21:58 Windy, I'm beginning to think that Kang's story is a love story. It seems to me that Kang is trying to bring back a lost love, Ravonna. Not in the dead sense, but forgotten sense--Ravonna doesn't remember what Sylvie's Nexus Event was remember? I think many of us dismissed it as her being flippant with Sylvie, but we learned last week that everyone, save for Mobius, doesn't remember what the TVA used to be like because they all had their minds wiped. Loki believes that He Who Remains (HWR)did it, but who did OB tell us has administrative access at the TVA? I'll give you a hint, before Loki and Mobius found a HWR's variant, they were looking for Miss Minutes! I don't know about you, but I think Miss Minutes erased memories because she wanted to remove Ravonna from the picture so that HWR would be hers, and hers alone. Think about it, she was given full autonomy, the ability to write her own programs. Like a person of faith, Miss Minutes is doing everything she can to be like her creator. She spent eons with HWR playing chest and whatnot, every day was date night for her, but HWR never saw her the same way she saw him. He had eyes for Ravonna and no one else. We heard the recording in the first episode of the season, and HWR thanked Ravonna for partnering with him, he told her that she helped him with the Multiversal war, so she predates the TVA--Miss Minutes makes it sound like she was the only one with Kang before the TVA. Remember the water rings on the table in Ravonna's office back in season one? Those were likely from HWR's, though Ravonna probably honestly doesn't remember since her mind had already been wiped. Ravonna was a hunter, but then became Judge--there's a story there--she oversaw the TVA, removing the natural flow of time's course corrections, Nexus Events, while HWR stayed at his Citadel at the End of Time, curating the Sacred Timeline--did they have something of a long-distance relationship? HWR wouldn't have been able to leave his post for long, and we saw why last season. It didn't take long for the Sacred Timeline to branch uncontrollably while he made his pitch to Loki and Sylvie. The Sacred Timeline requires a very watchful eye. HWR and Ravonna's story sort of reminds me of The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl story with Miss Minutes and the responsibility of curating time representing the obstacles keeping them apart. 22:09 I'm right there with you Dustin! Miss Minutes wants what Ravonna had, and I think it makes her mad that HWR, despite spending more time with Miss Minutes, still loved Ravonna as much as he did when they first fell in love. Did HWR give up on life because Ravonna didn't remember him? Did he have Miss Minutes and Ravonna go on the mission they are on to create the opportunity for them to fall in love again? It won't be the same way, as circumstances are different now, but if there truly is no free will and everyone's life story is written in stone, which Phase Four has proven that it is, well, HWR and Ravonna will be drawn to each other as this moment seems to be implying. 22:09 Is that true though? I think in this era, sure, he's a Black man in 1893 in the US, 25 years after the end of slavery. We saw a wealthy White man try to take advantage of him. How many times do you think that happened? HWR and Victor are equally eccentric. Victor doesn't have the confidence HWR has, not yet anyway. We already know that Kang DOES do partnerships, we saw it! The Council of Kangs, and the Kang Variant that partnered with Janet Van Dyne. Janet betrayed him, he didn't turn on her. We saw what Janet saw and I don't think she saw the full picture. Kang was pressed for time and didn't feel the need to explain it to her, sadly. But if he shared the whole story, we wouldn't get the story we are going to get. Miss Minutes is using Victor's ignorance to her advantage, so I don't think we should take the things she says at face value. 22:42 He sure did, Wendy! 23:16 his time traveling ship. Victor is likely the Prime Kang. The MCU already referenced Back to the Future in Endgame, and I wouldn't be surprised if Prime Kang's original story is something like Biff's, where an older version of himself goes back into the past to meet a younger version of himself, gives him his time traveling ship and knowledge just before dying himself, giving his younger self to experience the things he couldn't while inadvertently kicking off branched timeline. 23:41 Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. I think she's going to be. HWR isn't going to fall for her, how's that going to work for an obsessed AI that is alive? Miss Minutes is a 31st Century Ultron on steroids! While very different from the comic--does that matter in the MCU, though--I could see Miss Minutes becoming the MCU's Annihilus. 29:06 "I've been dubbed many names by many people, a ruler, a conqueror, He who Remains, a jerk." --He Who Remains Who do you think called him "a jerk?" It had to be someone close to him, right? A lover perhaps? I wouldn't exactly believe what Miss Minutes is about to tell Ravonna, as she wants to create a wedge between them. Still, she might tell her part of the truth, that she and He Who Remain were partners, much more than partners, but I still see Miss Minutes spinning the truth of their past to her favor. What a story. A little unsettling, but believable to me. HWR is Miss Minutes first and only love, and she can't lose him, lol. She'll do whatever it takes to get him. Ravonna is HWR's one true love and he was willing to die to recreate the chemistry they once had. This is going to be an interesting love triangle. I could be very wrong about all this, but I see Kang's story shaping up to be a love story, and the depths one would go for a loved one. Can't wait for the next episode to drop!
Bravo!!!! Bravo!!!👏🏽👏🏽 Jonathan majors is so far 3/3 playing himself. Marvel made a smart decision in keeping him. Best actor in the MCU right now 💯💯🔥🔥

29:06 "I've been dubbed many names by many people, a ruler, a conqueror, He who Remains, a jerk."
--He Who Remains
Who do you think called him "a jerk?" It had to be someone close to him, right?
People Theory that he who reminds kidnap young/baby himself and put him in the past, for this reason.
The way the characters enter the lab one by one reminds me of Prisoner of Azkaban...
Miss minutes loves kang more than Ramona 😂
I wonder if Renslayer was a Kang Variant all along
Simple Diorama. Loki, you are aware which planet you are on, right? Humanity has worshipped dioramas of gods for centuries. We are still worshipping.
Ms minute creep me out
I know.
