Amazing timelapse and really cute model!
I was following along and got a pretty interesting result, but I found myself struggling a little with the empty objects for shadow and highlights.
Is there a rule of thumb to where you should position and rotate them in relation to the character? I could maybe automate something using constraints.
Also am I able to use this setup for a whole scene or do I need an independent setup per object and character on the scene?

could you make 3d animation tutorial on , I don’t know “drama acting”? Im really don't like run or walk cycle, I want something new and refresh.

I don't understand why creating a second shader with an emission node, it doesn't seem to impact our character.
