In India's won matches, Ganguly's winning runs average is more than Tendulkar.
      See the records first.

But, even then, after puzzling at the start, Ganguly ended well.

      @@gtanj
I don't want to say like that.
Because useless arguments will arise b/w we Indian brothers.
Ganguly was leading in 1997 (so early; Isn't it?; He started permanently in 1996).
Even Kohli started permanently in 2009. But he wasn't leading in 2010.
He began this in 2011 (1 year late than Ganguly).
Ganguly (a divine looking personality) did miraculous batting in 1999 & 2000 so effectively that he was made captain immediately after Azharuddin's ill luck.
[Ganguly was a leading ODI player in 1999 & 2000]
Captain is the king of peck of cards.
But India was a mediocre team before Ganguly's captaincy.
But after 2003 World Cup, India was a challenging team.
So, to establish this transformation, Ganguly's own super-duper form distorted to some extent during 2001-2002.
Ganguly became totally out of form, when he played a wrong shot just like Tendulkar in WC 2003 final.
Subsequently, losing by comprehensive 125 runs in the final, Indian team always used to fear Australian team to quite extent.
India lost miserably against Australia in 2003-04 VB series (Sachin, Sehwag, Ganguly were spoilt) because of Australian phobia, which all started due to Ganguly's poor shot in WC 2003 final.
Ganguly was totally changed in 2004 & 2005 afterwards.
Although, he played well in 2007 [ esp. in Tests (giving Dravid an "INDEED" powerful KO Punch) ]
But inspite of good 2007 ODI average, he forgot to make memorable ODI centuries in 2007.
But doesn't it seem irritating that only a single boastful wrong shot changed a legend's entire career?
That was the inside story of Dada.
Well, you were asking me whether I was overshadowing Sachin by Ganguly's unique records.
      The answer is no 🙂.
Actually, in this match versus Zimbabwe, there was a stage when Ganguly in front of Sachin was looking like a rat in front of lion.
I thought many Sachin fans will mock at Ganguly unnecessarily (as he was not as much experienced as was Sachin at that time).
So, I just commented the truth to save Dada's honour in my previous reply.
No offence to the great Tendulkar..

Being a Pakistani I consider that Sachin Tendulkar is best ever Batsman of 150 years history of cricket. I disagree with the statement of sir Don Bradman that Tendulkar plays like him, I think Don Bradman played like Sachin. I have seen the videos of Don Bradman's batting and great Tendulkar was far better than him. Don Bradman faced very ordinary bowlers but Tendulkar faced the highest ranked bowlers of the history of cricket. He faced Waseem, Waqar, Shoaib, Bret Lee, Alen Donald, Bishop, Ambrose, Walsh, Marshall and Mc Grath. In the fields of spin he showed his class against Suqlain Mushtaq, Mushtaq Ahmad, Muttiah Muralitharan and Shane Warne. He scored centuries against these giants. He showed his class in fast and bouncy pitches again bowling like rockets.

He has great defence technique and ability to stay at pitch. I should not do any comparision as both were masters of different era. kvaabs.
