The army abilities part reminded me of an idea I had for the blessing of the lady to be an army ability that roots all knight units in place for 15-30 seconds to give them their ward save.
First mod I'm making for this is add a Skaven chieftain (plague priest) with plague units. Maybe change the "make the chaos dwarfs happy by killing Skaven" requirement to Dwarves.
Plague priests and the various Pestilens units and artillery are things I love to take when playing as Nurgle. A faster infantry that still fits the plague theme and some helpful ranged attacks to whittle down the enemy as I slowly waddle across the battlefield makes Nurgle a lot more fun in battle imo.
Doing Kugath,checking out the FLC lord,going to give my boy Festus another playthrough after I conqeor everything as the Maggot Lord at least once through his campaign and immortal empires. Hail Grandfather Nurgle(my one and only chaos faction)Then I will do Dwarves as Malakai and then Thorgrim and then Ogres.
I'm kind of hoping we see the actual maggot executing the character in question and then climbing back into the original body or something similar. Probably won't be that elaborate though. Heck I'd be happy if we just got to see something like shoot out of the ogre's mouth and then back in.
I was hoping we might get the 8th Ed Nurgle Lord, the half-naked chonky boi with big Axe but I can see how it aesthetically would of been to similar to appearance with Tamarkan.
one thing I would have liked on recruitment is if they had differentiated Daemon and Mortals relation to corruption and starting health. Maybe Mortals could have been 50-70% but Daemons 20-90%, seems like a good way to do it as Daemons require summoning and thus having them be more effected by corruption would be nice.

How come they have daemon lords unlike the warriors of chaos? How come their race is literally called "Daemons of Chaos" (which contains all the four gods and daniel, just like the "human" race contains all five human factions and the southern nations, or how "elves" includes wood, high and dark) The mortals are an afterthought to add a bit more roster variety, but at their core the monogod factions are daemon factions with easy access to anything daemonic
this will almost certainly be the case. I actually hope that the Nagash mod is able to use this system as i'd prefer it over the tech tree. It would never happen because nobody plays him but i wish this system was given to Markus of the empire expedition. It would be so cool if his merry band of heroes could allow him to get regiments of wood elves, dwarves, knights, and elite empire units. if they did that and removed his stupid negative campaign effects then he may actually be played more.
Looks really nice for nurgle players. Though I would love if they ever added an option or something to make you immune to allied plagues and corruption when they are playing nurgle. Playing coop is such a massive pain when someone wants to play nurgle.
I am glad they started their posts with the Nurgle content. He is my most played campaign faction in game 3 by far. I am a huge fan of Nurgle and I am conflicted. I definitly see the benefits in the new systems Nurgle is getting and I am excited, I am just kind of sad that some old systems will be completely gone. Personally I always enjoyed his playstyle in both campaign and in battles and most I felt he needed were just some adjustments to techs and prices. Now he will probably be very different and I am afraid that I wont enjoy it as much.

Something that I wish they would change across all the chaos factions is that they drastically decrease the cost of all basic greater demons so they see much more use.

@lormasterofsotek Plz ask the devs to fix Nurgle outpost? It’s bugged and gives no benefit to the allies, no extra garrison. Only a bugged effect to be able to recruit? Nurglings… that don’t work for neither you or the settlement owner. Would love to see this fixed for ToD.
I got the impression from the article as if they were talking about Festus as Nurgle LL, maybe there is still hope here. Honestly, we can't be sure unless we see the patch notes. It would be nice if CA corrected their big mistake of adding Festus and other monogod characters to the wrong race.

What exactly do you believe needed to be reworked? Cathay got some changes, but I don't think Tzeentch or Kislev really were in need of a rework so soon.
Rework gets thrown around so much that word is now meaningless. The only system that, arguably, needed a rework was the harmony system, and it got one. Kislev's systems may be simple, but they are not bad. Their mechanics, as well as Tzeentch's, can be fixed largely via tuning instead of full reworks.
@@Nyktipolos I think at the very least, Kislev could have gotten something to do after the religious war was over. But it's no big deal, it's a fun faction overall.
Cathay Caravans could have been made on par with Chorfs, a proper mechanic for Boris Ursus and Ungol/Gospodar features is what I hoped for @@Nyktipolos
The bile troll faces seem to remind me of the river troll hag face assets or even the goblins face assets, but almost as if they were merged. That's why I think they don't look quite like the typical trolls at least the chaos aligned ones.
Okay tbh I don't like the "stand or die" variants. To be clear it's the names that sound odd to me. Also what will happen with the other two gods? "kill or die"? It might be just me but "change or die" and "rot or die" sounds awful.
Really, really mixed quality in the units and characters. The Befouled looks perfect. Meanwhile, the bile trolls stand out as very goofy "reskin-looking" and without anything stylistically close to their origins or the rest of the content. Hope they are just not finished.
I'm really hoping Epidemius is going to be a generic campaign just like Kugath so you actually have a choice of two different campaigns without having to worry about some special mechanic. I'm also secretly hoping they are going to promote Aekold to a generic legendary lord but I don't see that happening.
The plagues have always been lame since AI shrugs them off so they were only useful being used on yourself. To me, that would be the most important change.

A lot of the base G1 and G2 base lords are in need of an update; giving Lord Skrolk a version of this plague mechanic would be *awesome*

I did like 200 hours of Ku’gath in Old World map, will be really interesting to see how the changes play out

Epidemius is as generic of a legendary lord as you get. He will definetly be the same as Ku’gath.
