I've been to the Isle of Wight a couple of times. Most of it smells of weed and urine. There is also a lot of affordable housing.

It's hard to create aspirational jobs on the island. Teens get to meet talented young creative types quite easily but there are comparatively few scientists and engineers. Especially aged 21-30. I would really like to see the local universities (Portsmouth, Southampton, Winchester) make more of an effort with Island schools but the costs in time and money are so much higher than visiting schools on the mainland :(
