- As Russian forces press their offensive in northeastern Ukraine, local residents are facing a difficult choice: flee and leave all that is familiar behind, or stay and risk occupation or death. Russian forces launched an offensive against Kharkiv in May, capturing towns and villages on the outskirts of Kharkiv city.
