I'm a percussionist and a while back I was dating another percussionist, who was also in symphonic band, we inevitably broke up and shit was awkward as hell, I'm not super sure what I was thinking but man, it was not very fun
It’s true. Either they’re the cutest couple that ends up getting married or you break up and at the very least it’s awkward because you see them so often and at worst there’s bad blood

lots of people dated in my high school band (me included). i can only one big breakup that was between freshmen and ended with one of them leaving band. my relationship only ended after i graduated high school and we went to different colleges
The senior saying “you made me pee my socks” is something that im sure ill hear at some point, or something so extremely similar. And if not ill be able to say it next year
I dated someone in band and even though it initially ended iffy, we're still friends with each other. We help each other and talk during class. It's nice to see them doing okay.

Funny story, and there was a guy and a girl, who everyone thought should get together. Once they got together, we all tried to push them together to have more serious dates and do stuff publicly like hold hands, and kiss(we were all friends, and they were very slow). When they broke up, I was genuinely shocked that they were still friends, but nevertheless, everyone in band still talked about them dating, and we always made fun of them slightly for this and tried to push them together again. 😂
My cousin is dating a girl in band. She's really sweet and he's only nice to her. I mean the dude literally tried to kill me multiple times as kids and whenever we pick em up from band, he's so nice to only her it's frightening 😭
As someone who was a band kid dating a band kid in middle school I can say I don’t have band anymore and I play football in high school so it worked out (Yes we were in the same section)👍
This has happened at a constant rate with freshman’s since I am one so I know and all the people who do it and break up just switch from friend to dating back to friend group like idk how they just do an automatic switch like everything’s fine
a wise senior once told me, “Never date anyone unless your prepared to break up in a couple of months or marry them… and never date anyone in your section.” and here I am trying to date someone in my section.
Can attest to this, it can go very wrong Sat behind her in wind ensemble, part of a clarinet feature within the concert music where contrabass and 1st soprano needed to practice together a lot to pull it off, and we had an ensemble together that made it to State What a horrendous 6 months until she graduated
