I think this highlights one of the pitfalls in how modern-day anti-black racism is handled; mainly through the dichotomy of white on black racism, which underscores how anti-black racism is prevelent in many non-white communities, especially amongst Indians. Thus whereas white people are discouraged from perpetuating anti-black racism, whilst other ethnic groups who are just as prejudice, can act on that prejudice without fearing the reprocussions that often accompany similar, or less severe actions from a white person. Asia as a whole is notorious for being anti-black, but you'll find black people praising the economic and political gains made in Asia, even though a black person has more chances at economic and social participation in Europe than they ever will in any Asian country, all because the media and politicians have trained them to recognize and react to white's being racist, and no one else. I've even observed strong anti-black sentiments from members of the African diaspora in South Africa, where African's from other African countries will look down on other black South Africans, and try to position themselves as being better than them, and they only harbour these attitudes towards other black South Africans, not the other races in South Africa.
