hard pain and im confuse
its a mixed bag for me
on one hand it'll add extra depth and thinking to normally no brainer characters in terms of builds
on the other obtaining them is going to be a nightmare and could potentially break a future pokemon they release if done right
It feels like a real nightmare for us mostly players who didn't pay the game sometimes :')
Confusing.
Its trash especially when u compare it to leagues old rune system which was actually pay to win. Cuz like rn u lose more then you gain when u set it up. And it takes so long just to obtain these to upgrade to silver which is still underwhelming. And gold dont even get me started
Definitely every Pokémon should have their own emblem grid, just like held items.
Or atleast 5 for 5 roles
@@orion615 no really, because you can have a pokemon sp atk, with one build and other pokemon with others attributes, (right now you can't do much options)
Not only that but they should have at least 2 options for emblem builds per Pokemon because it may have a different moveset with varying needs.
Just a quick note: duplicates kinda do matter. If you have 4 bronze Charmander, for example, then you can only add 1 like you showed. But if you have 1 bronze and 1 silver Charmander then you can add both. Worth considering when stacking crit rate like you mentioned
Duplicates don't add to the color boost effect though
@@josueflores5569 correct, which I why I specifically mentioned stacking crit rate since there isn't a color bonus for crit

I'm 100% sure this is what happened in the dev room. Also, I *SWEAR* to anything that is holy that people didn't go to Dreadnaw ever. I'm talking about your team and the opponents. It's been happening since before the big update.

@Baron Von Flop yeah but not knowing how to play the game is the players fault. My kids just recently got me playing, like 2 months ago, and I practiced, studied and made it to master rank. I was disappointed to find out that most players in master still suck but... it's their own fault
i play everything and usually fill what the team needs, so only having 3 pages is actually insanely annoying
Why they didn't give each pokemon their own emblem slot the way they give each pokemon their own held item and battle item slots is beyond me.
You also get emblems for playing a certain number of games in the new rewards system (top left in the Homescreen, next to levels).
The crit chance is insane. I just did a match against a Machamp. It's boosted crit basic attack does 1.5k damage.

They should just let you place the emblams on Pokemon specifically because each Pokemon is different. So far that's a huge flaw to me.
I also think the upgrade system failing is a huge flaw. losing gold is going to make people upset. It should refund gold if it fails especially since you are hard capped at gold earned weekly.

@@canadasyrup2125 but there's an extra 100 Coins everyday if you do the Daily Missions too, giving you extra 700 Coins every week, assuming you do the missions.

Those numbers from Sobble are not in percentage (0.88, 0.1, 0.02). Multiply by 100 to get a drop rate:

I find that the runes are a nice addition to the game, i'm a Duraludon main and after i put him the runes he is making an incredible amount of damage in the matches, i know that some other people will have different's opinions about the runes and i know that they have things to better up but for the moment i think they are nice
If would've been nice if it wasn't a gatcha system and we could just get the emblem we want

My main wish for this system is also that they add more custom pages... For crit rate, let's see what they write in the texts and what is actually happening in-game, as unite is not always that precise with their texts :D
I'm just happy it's not game breaking so far. It's gonna be something to grind for which is great because you actually have something else to do other than rank up all the time.
It's way better than i had imagined. It's not game breaking. The only problem i have is that we should get more load out or simply make a combination for every Pokemon.
Also gold ones are not that much rare , i exchanged 15-20 energy rewards and i got 3 gold and 3 silver which i quite good in my opinion.
I hoped that they would do something with fashion ticket but I don't think that they remember about them anymore 🌚.

I think the emblem system is going to be an entry barrier for new players. If someone new wants to play, they will keep on losing because the players who have been playing for a while will have advantage because of these emblems while the new players will almost never perform well and then quit the game after being annoyed.
Just an speculation.
Started playing a day ago and by my 11th match on every single person i fight one shoots me , while a combo from me gets about 5% of their hp
@@alexsimaimulte5506 you get only bot matches for a while when you begin so you are getting destroyed by bots. Watch some vids and just play, you'll get better eventually.
I wish there was an easy way to remove all the emblems from a page at once. This system needs a lot of QoL updates.
Did a quick scroll through your comments just to check if someone else mentioned, but in your green/black emblem build, could you replace your white Doduo with the white Farfetch’d to take your 0.6% crit rate to 1.2% whilst still keeping your same colour bonuses?
I just don't understand how this system will work down the road... Eventually frequent players will have lots of gold emblems and big buffs... How does this work for new players who have few or no emblems at all? They just have a disadvantage?
Doesn't really make sense. The system already seems like it needs some adjustments...

Maybe right now I have only 33 emblems (mostly browns and bronze) but I still can make little "builds" and that's great for me
I don't care if this is Pay2Win system, as long it is fun I'm ok with it and also it's very easy to get more, only difficulty is you can use only 30 capsules per day but that's not a problem, unlocking many capsules at once is fun

This is simply an effort to divert the players from devs inefficiency or reluctance to fix the ranked ladder and imbalances in Pokémon stats and builds
For the 1st anniversary update, the fact they didn't make Zapdos changes to solve the increasingly more apparent issues it has is not good.
Underwhelming anniversary update imo.
But hey you can pay gems to participate in the anniversary event 🤡
Basically: 30% good stuff, 30% no tweaks that the game needs since day one, 30% predatory stuff and 10% fluff

This system is so unfair. Instead of having everyone on equal starting ground, other players who have energy rewards stacks before the patch have advantage
unite was never a fair game sadly. every moba (at least from what i know) has a rune system so this was inevitable but damn this system sucks
I've learnt that the colour buffs will be more valuable and beneficial in most cases
I don't want to be a negative nancy but I think Pokemon Unite was fine the way it was before this update. They added way too much stuff this update, studying up on all these systems/ doing all the events is more like a chore than fun to me. They want old players to return for this update, but they would just get overwhelmed on seeing so much and would be discouraged from coming in again.
The strength of Unite is gameplay. Everyone wants to just hop on and get into a battle real quick. I don't think there is anybody who likes going through 10 different menus on opening the game. They keep trying to get people to keep playing by adding limited time events. Instead if they just slowly keep on improving the gameplay itself, people will automatically play more without being forced to complete the events.
should have just fixed the match making. no way I'm coming back if I'm going to be forced to play with teammates who never show up to dred and just stays at rotom the entire game
@@lastraven7205 well if ur not in master rank it will definitely happen but once you hit master people have a little more game sense and going to play well in most games. If ur in master and you get bad teammates, ur just unlucky.

It’s definitely not unlucky if you’re that high, the game forces you to play with terrible players when you’re high rank.
Masters 1200-1700 is unlucky if you’re paired with bad players. Beyond 1700, it’s basically norm to play with rotom gamers.
@@VioletMilks it doesn't only happen if you're that high ranked. it starts happening if you're 1300 but everyone else isn't master yet or if you start going on win streaks

When i was playing the aw,scope,razor machamp build, i feel like i dont get enough crits so i sticked with close combat but when this update released i got so many persians and farfetchd i have an extra 4.8% on crit, now it feels like the crits land much more often, thanks for the explanation on the video

Cris, how do you feel about +/- movement speed?
I'm not willing to make my Pokémon even a little slower, and am considering trying a full movement speed page (+210) to see how it feels on Pokémon like Petal Dance Venusaur or Hyper Voice Sylveon...
That has baraly any impact most pokemon have between 3000-4000 movespeed

On builds with the reduction cooldown medals, I've seen people say to use Shell Bell & Energy Amp? What if they aren't maxed (only Lv 25 & 15).
Do other items still work well (if so which) with being able to do your special attacks quickly?

omg I just know cinderace is gonna be OP with that 10% crit rate and 8% attack speed with emblems , 8.1% crit rate with razor claw and scope lens, 7.5% attack speed with muscle band, and 20% attack speed with x attack. Not only that but since cinderace doesn't use its sp.atk you can use emblems that lower that stat which means some emblems has no drawbacks.
if you choose to have 10% crit then obviously your emblems won't fit into the 8% attack speed group 🤦🏻♂️
Wdym? If u have 10 red emblems that increase crit rate then you’ll have a 10% crit rate from the emblem effect and then an 8% attack speed effect from have 7 of the same colored emblems

I'm getting 3 of EVERY emblem to set up silver. Getting 3 silvers of each one...High Crit/Attack Absol build coming soon with +100 hp & + 30 defense...(Stacks with Weakness policy ,Scope lens and focus band ) my Strat for getting back to Veteran rank...(Absol is NOT my main. Zeraora is.)
This system was the one of the worst thing added till now as now they increased the prices of mons to 12k and 14k i mean they are making the game total p2w now

I feel like most of the bonuses are quite negligeable. Except for movement speed nerf/ full hp buff
And most of the color combo are negligeable too (1/2/4/8%).
Also i wonder if the atk speed stat is like the muscle band stat...
The best emblem effect is attack speed. The beauty in this new system is that we only need 7 red emblems of any grade. Attack speed on tanks is much more effective and allows them to invest fully in HP items. For attackers this frees up an item slot that allows us to customize our mons much more personally. Critical hit chance is nice, but it doesn't free up a held item slot. Investing in HP is also a good way to go for now.
How is that a free held Item slot are you saying this because of attack speed on muscle band? Muscle bands passive is crazy strong and that's what it's used for not for the attack speed
@@CrisHeroes The attack speed is a strong weighted argument. Tanks like Mamo, Trev, Blastoise, and Slowbro would benefit from the attack speed more than crits and MB's passive when they could invest in a different held item that would make them tankier. Pokemon like Elde especially could run builds that are far more consistent/reliable if they go for the attack speed emblem max passive 8%. Crits aren't going to help elde either. Cinderace only needs 4% attack speed to be in the same attack speed bracket as a lvl 30 muscle band ( cinder with a +4% attack speed rate is in a different speed bracket at lvl 6, but then otherwise it's in the same attack speed bracket as a lvl 30 MB). In cinders case, the user could take the 2 crit items with BB and have 5 emblem slots left for something like your crit idea. Pokemon like gren and decidueye are in the same attack speed bracket throught out the game. Investing in the 8% Atk speed route means they can run FB, BB, and a far better crit item. Machamp and Absol might be the only ones that actually benefit from Crits. Machamp being in the same speed tier as Mamo throughout the game would need a MB so he wasn't too sluggish in early game. The additional crits emblems give would help his cross chop build

I honestly think that it’s not really done well, and I reckon a change that might work is removing crit chance from the emblems, since with all of these stat buffs, it makes the game very reliant on rng and getting crit chance is very powerful on some Pokémon.

Another issue that has been happening that that the emblems arent loading. The Easiest way to fix this is to simply restart your game and the emblems will show up

I think boost emblem is a great system with my only gripe being that it makes me hate the gatcha/random pull system even more.
Why can't we just select what reward we want instead of relying on luck?!
We would be better off if the obtaining method is changed to something more like completing daily missions to earn emblem ingredients and getting to use them to make whatever emblem we want, as long as we have the right ingredients (while still keeping season points as another method to get emblems), and letting us sell emblems of our choice (from the ones we have, of course) in exchange of the ingredients they're made of.
And maybe at least increasing no. Of default emblem build slots to 5, so we can at least make one for our mains for each role
does pokemon type matter on these?? like if we're basing them purely on the stats so does that mean i can pick whatever pokemon for my emblem?
I dig crits. But defense is also very good for crit crustle because of shell smash. I'd say max crit the most and then defense because of the higher returns on a lot of emblems comparing offense and defense stats
Additional defense that Crustle gets from items doesn't work with shell smash

I tried a delphox build with energy amplifier(lvl 27),sell bell (lvl 30) and with the emblems that I havei was able to get one stage of cdr , at level 13 (ig paired with its natural cdr )every time a mystical fire hits it literally resets mystical fire

thanks for the vids! always entertaining and informational. the emblem ui is not user friendly... have to jump back and forth between the dex and the configure tabs... there is no way tab over to get the emblem values...

The dual colour ones especially those that contains the important colours are best pulls
I don't think this system is pay to win as people fear.
Outside of crit rate the gold emblems are a very very small bonus. You can get color combos very fast even if you don't have a lot of energy rewards stacked overtime and compete at the highest level.
I'm glad they handled it the way they did. It could've been SOOOO much worse.
I think it is a HUGE mistake to have any element of a MOBA that directly affects gameplay to have real money attached to that system. Real money should only be factored into aesthetics, never to your ability to compete. It makes me so sad to see how much they are using this game as a way to make money instead of focusing on providing a quality MOBA experience. All these updates and we still don't have a stacking item counter in game....that just says it all to me.
Get good. just got back playing this game yesterday last time I played was november. Did not care about this emblem system and did not bother to equip it and now I'm two wins away from master rank as a solo gamer. Highest rank was master way back before. Emblems does not matter much just like chris said only crit percent is the only thing that can have a decent effect in the game
I find emblems quite confusing, but this is only now since I have no knowledge. Overall tho I think it’s a nice addition to the game.
I wouldn’t say that nothing matters but crit hit rate, for example I would rather put HP and or Defense on Snorlax rather than crit chance.

So, I play trevenant as main with curse / leach. If I understand correctly I should go for special attack and cooldown reduction since I mostly do damage with curse and want it of cooldown faster? in the chest at the end of the pass, the prizes are premium tickets good luck trying to get 40 more in the chests, do all the missions and accumulate as many chests as possible.
You can merge 3 silver in exchange for one gold which is pretty nice hopefully the success rate not too bad and it doesn't seem like you can buy emblem at least for now so you can only get 30 a day and it based on your luck and hopefully you get the emblem for your favorite Mons
