This is great stuff! But it's not brand new, GFT guys have been doing this kind of passing for years. My professor's so good at it I've been conditioned to never try to replace the guard by sliding the top knee in. Otherwise he'll immediately take the "smash" position, and pass left, right or mount. Watch a guy like Gutenberg for example he's good at this kind of passing.

There is nothing to it. Just weave the top side arm through in a fold pass and grab the lapel. It seems like Braulio uses it to set up the fold pass; almost as intermediary position.

70% of my bjj game has wrestling origin tbh.
I replaced all my judo takedowns for wrestling ones. Faster, simpler (in a way that I don’t need the more complex stuff) and just as effective.
