JJC takes this from many angles as it should be and entry points and delivers a loose yet focused presentation with thought provoking selections and musings- I especially loved the ones about dark hued clad characters during the Jacamo segment. Came here for fragrance recommendations came out of this video with a degree in poetic descriptions and vocabulary. Great video! I would add many of the Beaufort London offerings as well as Bathory by Darren Alan. Recently got my hand on that one and it blew me away in how darkly evocative, complex and vintage smelling it was without being austere or dated. Incredible!
Very great dark fragrances… One of my goth like fragrances, would be Salvador Dali. The presentation alone just reminds me of a decor to sit next to an Anne Rice book with some Absinthe to. set the mood. Well done JJ, I enjoy listening to someone that has a passion and knowledge of fragrances, which is a rarity.
Excellent video C&S no 88 is fantastic. I would include Dimenico Caraceni 1913 with notes of rose, geranium, cypress and frankincense ( this is Count Dracula’s scent )

No 88 is a bit Bram Stoker but I do love it. Voleurs de Roses was a love but reminds me of a winter rose mulching into the earth now. To dark for this time of year. Thanks for the share.

Secret Datura by MPG has evoked my childhood memories reading Carmilla written by Sheridan le Fanu. She definitely smelled like that. All those foggy labyrinths, secret gardens with shades and disappearing silhouettes of dangerous creations… Mesmerizing. Also I find Relique d’Amour by Orizia which I’ve tried by your recommendation and have found truly unique and touching is very gothic and hypnotic.
Great stuff JJ. Bang on with Fathom V. Noir de Noir always has that gothic vibe for me as well as CdG's Black. Memoir Woman too, but I think I'm being influenced by the bottle. 😄
As for Gothic , I’d have to choose the dead florals …, Dali ph, Maxims , ho hang club , Lancetti Uomo , of course VC&A ph, I haven’t found many female “marketed” fragrances that make me think Goth? But I’m sure they’re out there
