When I first learned it, I probably practiced and performed it for maybe 4 months. Then half a year later I picked it up again among other new pieces I was learning at the time when I played this.
I was playing this sonata at age 15, very much your pale shadow... you can’t know, looking back from the age of 53, how impressive it is to see all those subtle melodic lines revealed, and of course a technique to burn! All my best to you for a most promising future.
