Thank you for sharing the FF7 Rebirth collab experience Genki. 💜🙏🏻 I was supposed to go there at that time but delayed due to unfortunate health problem. It might be taking long time for part 3 collab in Japan but I hope that maybe one day I can come for FF7 Remake part 3 collab in Japan in the future
This is really cool. I miss Japan. When I was in the military, I was stationed in Okinawa for about 2 years. I never had the chance to go to the mainland and see Tokyo.
Some comments mentioning Square Enix financial situation but they fail to realize that they make alot of money from merchandise and collaborations with limited edition goods is an important part of that. Square Enix should focus on Japanese games and their ip and not western style games like Forespoken.
Imho all they need to do is get these games on the next switch in Japan. Because story based switch games sell really well if marketed with the nintendo logo. And that's not to say ff7 rebirth didn't sell well. Just not as well as they wanted.
As much as I loved Remake and Rebirth (both masterpieces in my book), physical sales for Rebirth didn’t do well in Japan, and even Square Enix declared that the game failed to meet their sales goal expectation from a recent financial report meeting. Regardless, I can’t wait for the next installment. Thanks for the video.
@@jennahaze6835 Yeah, I agree. I’m an old skool gamer (41 years young) when compared to the current generation. I never got into FPS, PVP or mobile gaming. I like games with actual stories but I can see many gamers now don’t have the patience, attention span or brains. I’ve seen a 16 year old getting pissed off playing Mike Tyson’s Punch Out. For the life of him, he just couldn’t figure out the patterns. Again, this can show how gamers today are wired.
Watching this made me miss Japan, especially when you went up the tower and did the shots of the city. I was in that exact location in September.
Oh cool you were in the same place! Nice! Hope you get to visit again soon!
Japan always has such cool collaboration events with games. Thanks for sharing, Genki :)
Thank you so much for watching! 🙏🏽☺️
THANK YOU 😭💖✨

No problem! Shame you couldn’t visit but hopefully for part 3 they will do more events like this!
@@GenkiGamerI'm sure they will. And part 3 is the finale of the remake so I'm sure they'll increase the hype more than ever 😁🙌✨

Oh wow Okinawa seems cool! Also Tokyo is cool as there is so much to do there.
Hi Genki! Thanks again for such a nice video!
Hope one day I can go Japan
I hope you can visit too!
Great video! I really miss Japan, I visited Tokyo Tower in 2019 and at the time it was full of One Piece characters and stuff!
So cool! Thanks. Yes it was One Piece for a while lol
I wouldve lost my mind if I was there! Sooo lucky!! Is the Square Enix Cafe the same as the Artnia, or are they totally different?
Thanks! They are different. Artnia is in Shinjuku at the SE office. Other one is in Akihabara
That’s so cool 😎👍
Thanks! XD

Square Enix should focus on Japanese games and their ip and not western style games like Forespoken.
Yes they make a lot from merchandise too. I agree they should focus on the Japanese side and continue to improve by being themselves.
I've always wanted to go there. I love FF7 too!
but I gotta bad addition to that game :/
Probably would buy everything if I could
lol! Yes it’s very tempting haha😂 Thanks!
How much longer is this gonna be going on?
Think the marketing in Japan will be less elaborate with part 3 considering the Japanese market not being big for the franchise right now?
Yes the marketing budget seems to be going down a bit. Hopefully they still go all out for part 3 too!

@@GenkiGamerhonest question how can u tell if a marketing budget isn't as big as it used to be??..
Wait are you telling me they only had 6 of these cardboard cutouts, and not 7?
Also, no Barret? smh...
LOL! I wanted a Barret one too haha
What are all of the words you had to find?
The words where just letters. It make up the sentence. "Welcome to Tokyo Tower"
@@GenkiGamer Thanks!
I thought Square was in financial doom though 🤔
They are still profitable just need to manage their projects, budgets and schedules better imo.
He said this was back in februaty

@@vangmx you can thank certain companies pushing for subscription services that is teaching consumers not to buy games
