Basically it depends on your usage. If you want big screen size then 13 but my recommendation is 11 because 13 inch is to big and not worth it in 11inch you can easily make notes and drawing. And 13inch lag little. But 11 is very very good for students!! 😅
13 inch is huge i would recommend you to visit nearest store and. check the sizes then decide what would be good for you 128gb is okay but if you need to install a lot of apps and using it as video editing devices theni would recommend you to go with at least 256gb

for external display to work you dont need any operating system you only need and iPad and a monitor with HDMI input and thats it just connect both using a type c to hdmi cable

comfort wise small is always better, however if you really into note taking i think 13” model will be a better choice as it will give you more screen area for writing

kafi user ne heat ki problem ko btaya hai isme and even kuch logo ne apna product return bhi kara hai bcz heat ke karan device lag kar raha hai, for example- notes lete time camera side se heat ho raha hai and pencil lag kar rhai hai , so during your testing , aisa kuch feel hua hai? kuch user ne ipados 17.6 pe update ke bad heat m thoda reduce dekhne ko mila lekin 2-3 din bad same isssue a raha hai . please make a proper video (hindi m ipad 11 ke liye sirf 1-2 channel heat issue ki video dale hai so it might be benefit for u as a creator and for us a viewer )
it doesn’t over heat just gets little warmer from top side as processor and pencil charging unit is located at top, but there is no sign of over heating and throttling issues
Yes it does heat up very badly while using apple notes writing handwritten notes. Even during casual browsing using pencil it does heat up a little... Skip this m2 series. Try one plus pad 2 instead atleast it will be cheap than this crap. Also battery drain is quite prominent.

it depends if you use it hard even while charging it affects battery health
also make sure you are charging it in a cool environment
