- Goths and alternative dressers march through Plymouth city centre calling for the freedom of individuality and to mark a year since the death of Sophie, killed for being a Goth.
I'm not Goth in the least, but what those people did to her was far beyond unforgivable.
Very proud keep it going me and my wife are goths we stand as unit
As an ex goth girl who has been bullied for this, and now a grown very young woman, those assholes who did that to her, deserve a death penalty
you are so nice to do a march for Sophie. and i wear hats and suits and am gothic i sometimes say am not allowed to wear suits and hats and am not allowed to be a goth because am not white i hate bullies But you now what am allowed to am never going to let bullys win. I am so happy am not the only person that whats to be gothic.
Hard to believe it's been nearly a decade since this video came out. I'd actually forgotten about this interview. It's great to see that 10 years later things have changed so much.
@solo xi I meant about how I look and talk lol.
i wish i could've been at that march
I’m not a goth but I would defiantly join these guys in the march if I lived in Portsmouth and if I wasn’t 5 at the time
Good on ya goths, how nice to remember such a beautifull girl, im just a tracking n tshirt girl but i like some off the clothes you wear, good on ya, sophie would off been so proud to see this xx

@@lucagordon5770 you're not allowed to simply walk the street in a large group? It's a public space it's your RIGHT.
Egal ob nun Rock,Metal, hip Hop oder Reggae es werden sich überall gute und schlechte Menschen finden....Ruhe in Frieden Sophie
Like I said am gothic and I like wearing leather trench coats because of yvette fielding from most haunted when yevete fielding used to wear leather trench coats and yvette fielding is my inspiration to wear leather trench coats. I still like wearing suits and hats and long leather jackets but I like wearing longer leather jacket coats.
I've been Goth for almost a year now and the death of Sophie Lancaster saddens me and sickens me that some boys would kick her and her boyfriend. The boys shouldn't be free, they should be sentenced to LIFE for murder!!!
RIP Sophie Lancaster :'(
What a good thing to do! Well done guys.
Let them march, we should all stand up and march for Sophie Lancaster. Be proud to be Goth. Let the message be clear; "Stop attacking Goths". Every person should learn about the Goth subculture. Goths don't need attacks from subhumans. Goths don't need criticisms from people under the influence of crass commercialist culture.
I want to go to one but i dont live near England. I live in Michigan. But my invisable self can pretend to be there if theyr having another one.
♡
Where was this?
wend and where was this?
welll done, but it was in bacup not manchester.
In my defence at that point I'd not ventured that far North before, and the majority of the media at the time were mentioning Manchester a lot when it came to the topic.
It was bacup
plymouth
These aren't all goths. A few people I know are in this video. For example my old college mate from 2008/2009 is at the front for some of it and he is mostly a thrash/death metaller. There are a few nu-metallers and groms as well. One of the guys who walks past the camera used to be a bassist in an old band of ours.
Trust me I should know, I used
Im sorry to say but same of the people that marching aren't goths
That was kind of the point of the march. . .
You clearly missed the entire point of the march. It wasn't about segregation it was about inclusion. Unfortunately it seemed not a lot of "normal" people cared as it's mainly only goths in that march.
