I just won one of these at auction for 20 bucks (same exact design and engine, but as a Cub Cadet model 650C and painted yellow) - Pull starter rope was fully out, but with a little cleaning and lube on the clutch and a spring rewind, it ran like a champ! Planning on doing a full tune-up like you did here, but I already drained the oil using the plug on the side...HUGE MISTAKE, what a mess...wish I would've found your video sooner because I didn't even know there was another plug on the bottom. Lesson learned, haha. Great vid!
Thanks! Glad it helped. I have a video too on the ball bearing centrifugal clutch adjustment too for the same engine. I thought my recoil went bad but just sticky balls
I bought almost the same machine from a former co-worker. It was also missing that shoot. I think people just throw them away. I need to take it apart and change the blades.
Do not our water in either shoot, it rusts your blades and makes it harder to start from bugging down through water in the chamber and you have to tip the chipper sideways to pour it out. Also, they do well and being easier to start if you put a little bit of seafoam brand cleaner through the gas tank. it helps it run better and takes a lot of the hit and missing that the engine initially does out. Let it run for about 15 or 20 minutes on high and you'll hear it start cleaning up the fuel system.
That new fuel filter is better choice at least you can see how it looks I have the 5 hp briggs and Stratton enigne on mine the carb is above the gas ⛽ tank now as far as the the deflector shoot be careful when you get near the opening of the machine it has the power to throw stuff out at a high rate of speed be careful out there young man
I really don't think these small engines are built to tolerate jets of water from a water hose. Water can get into the engine through the spark plug threads and the air filter.

Probably not. But I got lucky this time!
Does it take little branches ,Like 1-3 inches? If so what’s the thickest it would take?
I think 2” would be the most. It slows down quite a bit to chew them up
Think a torso would fit in that big chute?
If it was quartered, yes
Fargo 😄
Yes but it gets clogged up by shins
What kind of fuel filter did you use
Just a run of the mill 1/4 in line fuel filter from Amazon

All that 18plus minutes doing a good job.and you don't show it in action chipping or shredding.bit of a let down.
You’re right! After I published it I realized that... It was a monster. It chewed up everything I stuffed in there!
