    I recently received a request to demonstrate a strap change from bracelet to rubber.
    Although more expensive tools can help you change straps efficiently, you don't need any fancy gear to do so. I use a worn out spring bar tool to show this.
    I hope this helps with your strap changing needs.
    Check out my thoughts on the rubber strap.

    A-ha! Thanks very much. A clear demo that doesn't waste the viewer's time with unnecessary preambles, but dives straight in. It was a succinct and comprehensible exposition. Bravo! You've got teaching chops! 👍😀

    Nice one! For beginners, I would recommend putting some taps on the lugs so you won’t scratch the lugs by accident.

    It is mind boggling, that at this price point there's no quick release system on the bracelet and the strap. That would cost them pennies, ok, maybe few dollars more, that they would pass on the customer anyway, so why?

    PLEASE RESPOND. I have the watch, took the bracelet off the other day, and GOOD GOSH I could not get it back on the bracelet without a second spring bar tool.
    On my omega diver, I have changed the bracelet more times than I can count, swapping it to lots of different straps, and put in the bracelet back on. For some reason the Aqua Terra case just doesn’t seem to let one end of the spring bar sit down while pressure would be put on the other side to get it back in (on the bracelet). Spring bar tweezers would do it, though I don’t own them. Luckily I took it off with someone that had their own spring bar tool so I could hold one in each hand and pinch the damn thing back in.
    Am I being ridiculous, or is it genuinely impossible to put the bracelet back in with a single spring bar tool?

    • @welcomewrist
      @welcomewrist  Год назад

      I only use one spring bar tool. Make sure one end of the spring bar is pressing against the wall of the lug, this will help you keep one of the sides pressed down which should give you enough room to push down and slide in the other side.
      Are you using the original spring bars? If you're using aftermarket spring bars, some have tiny differences in manufacturing that may cause them to be too big or too small. If you're using your original spring bars, it could be an issue with those.

      My wrist is about the same size and it fits comfortably. I'm not sure if they do, but Omega might have shorter length options.

    This is so stupid, I can only open one spring bar. As soon try to open the second, the first closes. The engineer who has designed that belongs in hell.

    • @welcomewrist
      @welcomewrist  7 месяцев назад

      It can be a little finiky, but once you get the hang of it, you will be a pro. Try to keep pressure behind the strap/bracelet so the spring bar doesn't slide back into place.
