Very glad about the return of Eric Wesson the KC Week in Review. Take it easy on this good fellow please.

Eric Wesson's suggestion we should remove bike lanes for parking was just ridiculous.

Dave Helling's sorely missed this week. His takes on the stadium tax I always find to be the most insightful of anyone on the panel. I don't believe for a minute that Jon Sherman secretly wants to give support and incentives to the business owners in the Crossroads and that it's a matter of "poor communication" that we haven't heard that from him. We've been watching him publicly drag his feet and walk back his promises for a year, why bet that he's just going to be gracious to all of these small business owners in the end? Let's be serious about this. If a new stadium actually needs to be built, it needs to be in the East Village. Haven't we torn down enough historic infrastructure in the Crossroads and Midtown already? Minimize displacement and nurture the community we've already built.
