Again guys, this is not a huge deal, just some cause for concern. Games need to run well to justify the hundreds of dollars that you spend as a consumer on both the game and your platform of choice.
I know some of you won't care too much about performance, and some of you will care, please be civil with each other! Thanks for watching!
EDIT: also guys, this video was recorded earlier in the week, and we got to see some Scarlet Forest gameplay last night (Sept 27th) at TGS. It ran REALLY well on PS5, there's been some concern that Wilds was unstable at 30fps, it's definitely not, might even be able to run 50-60fps somewhat consistently. Consoles will be eating good!
ruclips.net/video/SZ3L0-Q5tHw/видео.html
I really want that demo to see what's going on here tbh
gotta have it
30fps or 60fps I don't care just love playing monster hunter
Well I agree with PC, but it was always clear that a 4 year old console from 2020 cannot run all the newest, cpu-limited games at 60 fps. Digital Foundry pointed out that running unreal engine 5 games at 60 fps is a tall order and almost impossible for consoles when the Matrix tech demo came out.
PCs on the other hand are easily x times as powerful as the PS5 today, so there's no excuse there.
100%
Then go for the PCs
Im hoping Ryzen 5600 + 7600 Gpu will be enough for 1080p low settings 60fps
The low settings should be fine. I ran mh world on my 940mx. The issue will be trying to get even medium close to 60fps. Knowing Capcom, the consoles will probably be fine but the PC optimization probably won't arrive for a while.
@@tielmaster7879 Lets hope for the best!
If it doesnt then you're due for an upgrade soon.
@@dreambiscuits i dont have a Pc but this is what i can afford to build.
@@tielmaster7879 Ive got ptsd from wild hearts 🤣
At least we are getting a pc port right away and not a year later guys.
You know what that is a good way to look at it. 🤣
My current PC will be almost 4 years old when the game comes out and cost 1200€ when I bought it in 2021. I'm bummed I'll be nowhere near 60 fps but if it doesn't at least run smoothly on 30 fps, I will not be buying it and it's a shame bc it's literally the only game I'm looking forward to right now.
that's a good outlook, you shouldn't have to spend hundreds on upgrades every couple years just to play games! Finger's crossed that, if it isn't very optimized, we get a performance boosting mod shortly after launch
upgrading your pc every 4-5 years should be normalized as it's not hard at all to set aside ~2k within 4 years. that's 500 bucks per year or 42/month. just quit smoking and that's all the money you'll need for your 4-yearly pc upgrade. I don't see how everyone is making a big deal out of this.
@@JPN-k6c You do not have children and adult bills i can see.
@@Th3Nick3X yeah I do and I can still set aside $50-100 for a hobby on a monthly basis with ease. you should think about your expenses honestly if you can't do that.
At least u tried
my PC makes the specs but i just know this game will make my cooling system work overtime
yeah i'm going to have to re-up on thermal paste and maybe get another 2 or so fans xD
It's an action game and action game shouldn't run at 30 fps on console or wherever. Capcom knows it has a huge fanbase on console so build the game with 60 fps in mind around those console specs and then you can uplift everything else for super powerful pc hardware but even on pc the majority doesn't run top of the line hardware specs.
Second: Frame Gen for 60FPS is terrible you need to hit 60fps nativ before turning on frame gen. If you turn it on when you just get 30 fps native it will feel soooooooooo terrible
On top of that if you come from Rise/Sunbreak which runs at 120fps on console (Ps5/SeriesX) and you come back to maybe 30 ? fps jesus christ what are you doing ^^
I have a 5800x and a 4070super which i just bought this year and now i don't know if this game will run well on my rig which is mindblowing
Although I'm still in my planning phase of buying new Gaming PC atm, I think your current spec can potentially run MH Wilds. I'm planning to get an i7 with either 4060ti/4070 and 2x8GB RAM or 2x16GB RAM, so I can go above its recommended spec.
But even I'm uncertain of it could stay under 60fps on the spot. The game will have a lot running on its background (endemic life, mosnter behaviour and etc) while we play. So maybe 32GB RAM and extra cooling fan system could help, maybe?
Back in World, I had like 4000+ hours of playtime on PS4. I dunno if my new pc is gonna be ready to put up with my intensive playtime. 😅
@@abrahamkresnik9726 i'm glad they have crossplay now but i would've been far more happy if they also included cross save ^^
@@sneakysnake3344 Agreed on that. It would have save my the trouble to just buy PS5 first, then gaming PC with 50 series in the future.
Weirdly enough, MH Wilds graphics will potentially stay as 1080p FHD, so the most we need is to optimise its FPS instead of graphic.
Wondering if these sepcs are good enough for 1440p on high/ultra settings
4070ti
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor
32GB of DDR4 Ram
2TB of SSD
@@dreambiscuits idk, probably good enough to run high on maybe 60 fps when optimisation is fixed?
I'm worried. I have a 1660 Ti. Not the 1660 Super in the minimum specs. I'm going to overclock and hope for the best. But with Denuvo involved, my hopes are a bit low. I'm looking forward to this game, but if it doesn't run well on launch, I may refund it, then pick it up on sale after it's been patched up. I consider these specs for low graphics settings, frame gen and 30fps to be a little ridiculous.
denuvo should only impact your CPU, not your GPU, so hopefully that overclock should be fine!
If the game isn't going to run well at launch, on PC or PS5, I will just wait a few weeks for the optimization patches to go through. I don't really have problem playing at 30, as I played World for several hundred hours at 30 on a base PS4 years ago and still enjoyed my time. If Wilds doesn't at least maintain a firm frame rate, I will wait.
I can't do 30 anymore. It's horrible. 60 or close to 60 or not for me
Man just play 1080p with low setting if you cant afford better build. Wait for the demo out and test your rig
If you cant play Ultra 4K just upgrade your rig or get a console play 50fps on peformance mode
There is indeed serious cause for concern. It's about time folks wake the f up about it. This might be the first monster hunter game I don't buy due to this poor software optimisation.
Interesting good sir
Bout to spend 1000$ for an upgrade. This game better be good
I believe this is majorly because of their old RE Engine, it's just not for the open world. Either they optimize the game more, or just release a new engine and apply it as THE optimization update.
new engine would be great for this stuff
If it's not moddable im not buying it. And also won't buy it if denuvo is not removed.
denuvo hate train fr. As far as I know, the anti-tamper doesn't prevent mods, which is good. DD2 has a decent modding community
Their messages to the investors last year seemed to be in favor of creative mods for the game, they compared to world.
The Denuvo won't be removed. I can assure you that.
don't let the door hit you on your way out fam, farewell
@JPN-k6c thanks for letting everyone know you will proudly consume any product no matter the quality. Players can have valid criticisms and still wish the best for a franchise
The part that gets me is ((With Frame Generation)). Nvidia does not let you use that feature unless you have a 4000 series GPU. So them saying a 2070 S in the recommended specs is probably a lie then that it will get a steady 60fps. I think Frame Generation should NEVER be included in a spec list. It's great when it works, but it really isn't all that polished in games I've played. Like in HWL I got a great boost to fps, but the fps was never steady and hitched alot. So I ended up turning it off and had a better experience. That being said let's hope you're right and they got things figured out from Dragons Dogma 2. I'll buy it regardless since MH is my grind game of choice.
FSr frame gen can be used with any GPU regardles of brand. But using Frame gen withour hitting native 60 fps is a terrible experience
@@sneakysnake3344 How so? I'm genuinely curious. My wife has 3080 ti and doesn't have the option to use frame gen on HWL and Dragons Dogma 2 while with my 4080 I can?
Yeah I can't imagine it being used to get to 60 FPS would be a good time for everyone. I'm a bit worried companies are gonna start relying on this too much to make their games playable. Hopefully when a demo comes out we will have those worries put to rest.
@@Terreos the game needs to have FSR frame gen from AMD games like Diablo 4
Star Wars Outlaws
Black Myth: Wukong
Helldivers 2
Alan Wake 2
Assassin’s Creed Mirage have AMD frame gen for example if the game has it then the toggle option should be enabled you must also use fsr instead of dlss then
I don’t know why people are saying the graphics are bad or resolution is bad. It looks amazing and beautiful lol. World didn’t look good in the trailers, yet when we played it, it was absolutely breath taking.
Sometimes the weather effects make it look bad on stream
@@matthewalvarez6884 yeah but streams don’t look good for anything most of the time.
60 fps on PS5 or no buy for me.
Nope. Did you not see the last show from TGS? Ps5 was running at 60fps so yeah. Stop worrying everyone
PC players when their budget gear from 6 years ago doesn’t run a brand new, ambitious title at native 60 fps and 1440 😠. Guys PC gaming is a luxury industry. Requires a lot of money to stay up to date if you want cutting edge performance. Just how it is. Especially in current economy. If you want budget friendly, consoles clear. (I use both console and PC)
yeah ok i see your point but its also 2024... all AAA games are like this now? how can anyone be surprised? its been like this for years! play console if you just want to play the game trust me it will work fine its a huge market for em, if you are into your pc's you know the deal by now...
Damn straight. As a matter of fact, almost every pc game is a stuttery mess at launch with ver few exceptions. But since it cost heft amounts to upgrade people always complain which is understandable. Capcom can definitely do a better job since pc components are 2 generations ahead of ps5
It has similar minimum requirements to Cyberpunk. I think it will be ok, but we'll see when the demo comes
@@GForceIntelif you call wilds a stuttery mess, I don't think you deserve this game lol
@HunDev_PL That's what reports from the demo have said. I haven't played it myself, so I don't know.
I have the GTX 1650 ti.. with Installed 16gb ram. will that be enough to play the game smoothly? I've been waiting for this game..😢
TBH I feel it is all because of a bad port from Capcom or mh team, from what I remember the PS5's GPU equivalent is a 2070 or 5700 XT but the PC version needs a 2070 super or 6700XT for 1080p 60 fps with frame generation and medium graphics setting and the frame gen is AMD frame gen which can make your game feel laggy/slomo if you below 60fps.
I have a Ryzen 3500 CPU and an Nvidia 1650 Super GPU which just below minimum, I hope I can get good deals on pc parts before it comes out
In my opinion is stoopid want play all at high quality if you cant, i was playing at 1080p for looooooooong time until i swap to 3440x1440, the change force me to play around 90fps and medium/high configs instead ultra +120, if the game need tweaks or better hardware and i dont want buy better machine ill go to down the config, its simple
The main problem in tons of PC games right now is the trash and poor port/optimizations who request strong or high specs to run barely smooth with dlss and not more...
Im not gonna lie, playing World on PS5 looks a lot better than what I've seen from Wilds. And that feels like it shouldn't be. I get they wanted to add a bunch of innovations, but maybe the jumps should've been smaller.
mhworld also have overspecs gtx 1060 only get 1080+30fps high, but actually its get 1080+60fps optimum settings.
When comes to pc not surprising that its not performing well
Showcase gameplay its just for presentation for a good reason
Dont expect its will run as good as in the showcase when retail comes with denuvo
Gonna upgrade my cpu, motherboard and gpu by the end of October just for this game. My pockets are gonna hurt I hope it’s worth it
Definitely, it will. You'll get 50 fps instead of 30. Homes aside I hope the game runs better than what's being advertised
@@GForceIntel have a low end build so upgrading to a rtx 4060 gpu, new motherboard, and Ryzen 5 5600X 6-core 12-Thread cpu. From the looks of it won’t be much help for wilds, was hoping to finally experience some 1440p 60+fps gaming guess not😂
@janmoret517 I would suggest getting s 7600x and a 4070 to at least be a little future proof. Otherwise, you are already upgrading to a sort of obsolete gpu with a very low vram and a cpu that's old. The 7600x is like 50 dollars more, and the gpu is about 260 dollars more. You get about 56 to 60% more performance on the gpu, and the cpu is a lot better as well.
@@GForceIntelI can get a 7600x but don’t think I got the budget to get a 4070 at the moment which is why I’m aiming for a 4060
@@janmoret517 what if you just get the 5600x and get the 4070. That's gonna have the biggest graphical lift in your games. The 7600x is not really necessary now that I too a look at some benchmarks but the difference between 4060 and 4070 are pretty big
It wont cause problems for wilds. It might for PC elitists but the game and sales will be fine regardless
My Ancient artifact GTX 1050ti will run just fine as usual, no worries 😂
Very very very concerning recommended specs for 1080p 60fps with frame gen on. I'm hoping the game will be very optimized on release and everyone will be able to have a good time...
yeah, the ideal scenario is that they're being conservative and it will run way better than this
I'm going to wait for a performance test, or a demo, before getting the game, as long as the game runs at a consistent frames and doesn't have major tech issues (launch Cyberpunk 2077).
honestly that's the best thing to do for players, hopefully we get a demo by the end of the year!
Hopefully 8gb 3070 and 5800x is enough for 1440 60 fps. Dragon’s Dogma 2 ran like shit on my pc
i'm running a 5800X as well, and a 4060TI. DD2 was not consistent, especially in frame rate, for me either, it's been better since the updates, but I know a lot of people turned away from the game early since they couldn't run it and not everyone wants to spend hundreds on PC upgrades just to play a game they could refund anyway
Genuinely curious. What kind of optimizations can Capcom do to Wilds for it to run better for us players?
- they can utilize more CPU cores, some people have 6, some have 8, etc., being able to utilize all of the available cores helps CPU utilization drop
- better utilize available VRAM in GPUs as under utilization (not using enough of the GPU/CPUs available power) is just as bad as over utilizing a component (like putting too high a load on CPU and not enough on the GPU)
- better shader compilation can help remove stuttering
- better asset loading
- better scalability (meaning changing from high to low settings actually increases performance by a lot, many games have issues where even dropping to low settings doesn't yield a sizeable increase in performance)
- they could utilize oclussion culling (not rendering things that are not in view of the player's camera) to help up performance
and much more, i'm no game dev but there are plenty of ways to optimize a game, it's gonna be 2025, why are things not designed to run on 2025 hardware at 2025 resolutions and framerates? I'm totally cool with 1080p/1440p 60fps, but it should cost the player $500-$1k+ for just the hardware/console to run the game, then another $70-$110 for the game, just for it to run at a resolution and framerate (1080p *upscaled* at 30fps) that the PS3 could run in 2006!
Be honest even if game is not properly optimised , I am pretty sure the kings and queens at modding community will fix it for capcom😅
they always do! i've still got high hopes :D
If the 3070 or 6800XT can't also run 4k 30 or 1080p 60 like a slower PS5 can, and actually does run half as fast, there's going to be hell for the team to pay and a ruined launch image. PC optimization needs to be a top priority for the team between now and then if they want the 40million concurrent users on Steam. No amount of base content matters if a whole portion of the playerbase cannot access your game.
when these GPUs cost as much as a console did, gotta optimize for them as well! no one should have to play on PS3 graphics (1080p 30fps, came out in 2006) after spending $600+ dollars minimum to play the game!
If only Capcom notices that
Y'all see the MHWilds Telly?
Plan to play it on my rog ally pc
I hope they hear us
A fact most people don't seem to realize is the reason for the limited framecap of 30FPS even on high end PCs is crossplay. If PC users were able to run the game natively at 60fps, it would create huge complications with console users running the game natively at 30fps. Since they need everybody to be on the same FPS for crossplay to function correctly, they chose to target 30fps for everybody instead of targeting 60fps, given that 60 would alienate a huge portion of their fanbase (lower end PC users) from being able to play the game since they can't reach 60. At the end of the day crossplay is awesome but it is costing us quite a bit here
This makes no sense, if you were true then how do other games like Destiny 2, COD, Wild Heart, and countless others game have cross play, and how does this even apply to on the same game if one player on ps5 performance mode
@@lazzya621 I am not calling it impossible, but you have to have extra code and parameters in place to handle native FPS discrepancies like this, which is probably something they intend to avoid given how heavy the game already looks to be. Also most of the games you've named are based on users connecting to the game server, whereas for the longest time MH has been about users connecting to one Host user and synchronising off of their game ; it might change in wilds but all this is leading me to think it will not
@@gabrielmauger7608 umm actually Wild Heart is peer to peer and Wild does not lock your fps to 30, you can play at 60fps with recommended specs, and how does fps affect cross play and not same platform multiplayer
@@lazzya621 That's interesting I didn't know Wild hearts did that. I would say that I'm hoping we end up getting the same thing in wilds but the scope of the game is very different and I don't believe the engine to be capable of handling it
