    Holy shit their website is so damn convoluted. Im new at hunting, and IDK how in the actual hell people migrate the site and know what to get, the zones, the times for each zone etc. Hell Im amazed they dont tax you for what the phase of the moon is depending on what you want to hunt.

    I’m still trying to figure out what the quota hunt allows.... I was late to the party and could only get a pipeline permit. In reading through the regs I couldn’t find ANY mention of turkey anywhere, even though the seasons do fall in line. So can you or can you not hunt turkey in pipeline? I can tell the WMA system here is really good but my goodness it’s confusing. 😂

    • @coast2coast-Rookieoutdoors
      @coast2coast-Rookieoutdoors  3 года назад

      Matthew Stevens the turkey wma permits will be issued towards late winter. Right now there’s some reissues of general gun, archery, and muzzle loader for deer and hog primarily that let you go to specific WMA’s during specific times. Some WMA’s you can go without a permit which are the non quotas, or after the quota period it opens up to everyone. Does that help a bit?

    • @coast2coast-Rookieoutdoors
      @coast2coast-Rookieoutdoors  3 года назад

      Matthew Stevens what might make things easier is pin point the lands you want to hunt, look up their brochures, then come the permit releases on go outdoors Florida and apply for them.

    • @matthewstevens2994
      @matthewstevens2994 3 года назад

      Rookie Outdoors if the brochures said when you could hunt turkey then yeah that would make sense
      I’m pretty much stuck with pipeline for the year unless I can find a reissue, but like I can’t even figure out whether or not I can get a turkey at all there.

    • @matthewstevens2994
      @matthewstevens2994 3 года назад

      Turkey season in zone C is 11/7-1/3 and the quota dates are 11/14-1-10. So there’s that one week before the quota time where there’s turkey season and no quota time. I do have the permit but since the brochure doesn’t say turkeys are legal to hunt would that mean that the quota doesn’t apply to turkeys and you can do what you want there or would it be that you just simply can’t hunt turkeys there at all except for the one week window before the quota starts?
      I’m just trying to understand the way Florida works because even in the hunter safety class there’s like no info on any of it.

    • @coast2coast-Rookieoutdoors
      @coast2coast-Rookieoutdoors  5 лет назад

      Mel Rodrigues you can be any age to get a hunting license, however to purchase a hunting license I believe you need to have taken a hunters safety course in the USA.
      For more on licenses go here:
      myfwc.com/hunting/regulations/recreational-license/
      You can hunt without a hunters safety card if your accompanied with an adult at age 16 or younger. More info about that on this link:
      www.huntercourse.com/usa/florida/regulations.aspx
      Now if your trying to hunt by yourself it gets tricky because the legal age to purchase fire arms in Florida is now 21. If you plan on going out hunting and your between 16-20 I’d recommend going with an adult or friend that is 21, but I’m not 100% sure what the laws state for that, you can call FWC for more information I’m sure.

    • @coast2coast-Rookieoutdoors

      Tyler Small the money that you spend on hunting licenses and quotes goes right back into conservation, while it may not be fun to buy licenses, tags, pay fees, etc. it is necessary in order to preserve our wildlife, our forests, and continue to be able to have public lands available. If it weren’t for our people buying licenses, there would Essentially be no money left for conservation. Florida is very cool too because there is so much public land available compared to somewhere like Texas where it’s mainly private land in which not everyone is able to hunt because they don’t have access to land.

    • @tylersmall9658
      @tylersmall9658 4 года назад +2

      @@coast2coast-Rookieoutdoors I agree to a point:
      With our United States constitution being violated on a daily basis, it's imperative for all citizens to understand history; not only here in the United States but also around the world. The United States is having the life (freedom) squeezed from her while simpletons simply take it in stride because it's being done at a quasi-acceptable rate. Not to mention, hunting safety classes give a healthy dose of brainwashing while teaching some good (high-level deception). This gets a person in an agreeable state of mind, then bam, indoctrination begins with falsehoods, bogus statistics, and more nonsense.
      Take a look at how Hitler, Stalin, Chavez, and many other tyrants destroyed nations with dictatorship; it starts at EVERY level. Wildlife should and needs to be managed properly, ALTHOUGH, it's apparent that the FWC bureaucracy has went too far with many of the hunting restrictions on both federalized land and private land alike.
      If you're a free-thinker (someone who doesn't blindly trust the government in this instance), you'll do your research and conclude that Americans' hunting rights have been violated with tyrannical hunting restrictions. At the rate we're going, well be fortunate to even be able to own a firearm to hunt with in the near future.
