    Great video! Thank you for explaining why you stone the table and surfaces of new equipment, Jessie! I'm sure a few of us here have experienced clumsy riggers. There's always a chance of something happening during transport.

      The shop I work at looked at me like I was crazy when I asked for one of those stones. Also, when I stoned the new tables. That explains a lot about the machine that was set up before me. My pallets are true. The other well, we just don't run certain parts on that machine.

    This type of technology really blows me away. Your production is only limited by the number of pallets/tombstones your feeder can handle.

      These pallet pools are awesome if you need to turn out a lot of parts. Where I work we have a pool with 20 pallets working with two Doosan NHP 5500's. Those machines are incredibly productive.

      Only limited by your wallet. Being a small job shop you could only dream about something like that.

    Hey Guys, love your Channel… but there is one thing I just can‘t understand…. How can you talk so much about Productivity and have not ONE SINGLE CRANE under your Roof?! Loading such a Pallet System or any bigger Machine with a Forklift is a thing I just can‘t understand…

      It's a common thing, shops with a cran may or may not be accessible to all CNC platforms.

      @bass0815 6 месяцев назад +2

      From my Point in Germany, it‘s really not common. I‘m nearly 40 years old and never lifted Parts or Fixtuers with a Forklift…

      @tomvu1073 6 месяцев назад +3

      We use fork lifts too.. just to put pallets. Using a crane is over kill when you only put in pallets once in a while

    Love the LPS. We are looking at a big install that would include something like the LPS. All of the providers seem to be struggling with providing a storage solution for larger sized plates. Have you guys seen a fully automated cell with 3-5 spindles and a cardex style tower to hold 30-40 plates/blocks?

    What percentage of shops have the need and financial capacity to implement anything like this? I would guess its a small number.

    • @dipps1649
      @dipps1649 6 месяцев назад +2

      I worked at a shop that had two of these. We were a production shop, and we could setup jobs that we ran all the time. Each pallet would have a different part and whatever was needed to refill the stock we maintained, we would set those pallets to run and just do those. They've had the machines for about 4 or more years now.

    • @StachiBCNR33
      @StachiBCNR33 6 месяцев назад +1

      No, we only got 8 Machines and one of them, a five axis, is automated by a 24 pallet pool. It just makes sense. Repetetive work can be scheduled to the late shift. Less sh*tty work for the operators that can run more complex parts on the day shift. We're currently thinking about throwing 3 machines out and get another automated one because the productivity boost is so high. You usually pay for your machine every month, every day, every hour, why utilize it only half of the day.. It doesn't need to be a large shelf style system. there are smaller and cheaper rotary style systems available, even fully integrated and made by the machine tool builder. Even if you change just the vise, like with the Lang system using a robot, you gain so much more productivity.
