What's even more amazing is this engine was never meant to rev anywhere near that high. Just think about it: 2 valve per cylinder pushrod design from the 80s that revs like a Honda F20! This is just the kind of over-building that makes the Toyota brand the legend that it is.
great interview. Its fascinating that Troy builds mental Hi-Po V8's all day but he is a total corolla tragic. I think everyone can relate to just having an irrational soft spot for a certain model of car, often it's whatever they fell into as a first car.
I have seen some great Australian cars, such as Mazda RX-2/3 and Datsun 510, that in my opinion were spoiled by giant wheels. I'm glad that trend is reversing down there.
This is honestly crazy and amazing. I purchased a 74 Corolla Station Wagen myself and with the original 1200 motor and 4-speed gearbox all stock. Has a lot of body and interior work but this is giving me great inspiration. Well done.
Awesome! Nice car! Very clean, detail exterior and interior, And like the power too.... I like this car, please permit for to review this car, haha Nice dude! Thumbs up from Autotune Indonesia...
Amazing engine 👍.. actually I want to know the original Valve timing diagram for the 5K engine..I already searched but until now not get it.I hope you have the data
i had heaps of corollas in the 90's . i had a KE30 (or mybe KE38 not sure) Panel Van and a KE55 Coupe. I built a pretty fun 5K with a cam , headwork and single webber . but the thing was a dog to drive on the street . would hardly idol and only went if foot was flat to the floor.
love what he do into 5k engine.. i have 7k engine but in here in indonesia its too hard to find performance part for 5k/7k engine.. i would appreciate if you give us guide, and part list, for build the engine, thank you
What are you using for shocks. Front and rear. I know it’s bilstein but can you share the part number. I’m looking to get that low look with my KE31. Thanks
that engine build is outstanding. Blows my mind that people are throwing money at these old bangers these days, but they always bring a smile.
We 💯 agree with you mate!!!!!

We 💯 concur!!!! Thanks for watching mate
You're telling me I'm not supposed to rev my 4k up to 8k rpm?
@@jrvrgamingv2.080you could try it yourself, goodluck
Well, the K series engines date back to the late 60s really, and they hadn't changed much up to the 80s 5K, just bigger bore and longer stroke.
Dude this engine and build is epic. Sounds amazing in those high revs!
So good!!
What a screamer 💪🏼 craziest k motor I’ve ever seen 👌🏽
Us too!!!!!

200 HP for the 5K?! That's insaneee 😱 and standar 5K produce just 75 HP, WOW 😳
This is what I've been searching for months now a perfect example of my dream motor.
Great channel, Troy is a bloody legend and love this car 🙌🏽❤️👌🏽
Thanks for watching mate
Barrel Bros would have replica centre caps for those wheels, Troy should get a set of those if he doesn't want to lose the originals. Sweet Rolla
Big wagon with tiny engine. Back in the early 80s we put 1.8 from the 1980 to 1982 corolla into this wagon. Great memories from that era.
I have seen some great Australian cars, such as Mazda RX-2/3 and Datsun 510, that in my opinion were spoiled by giant wheels. I'm glad that trend is reversing down there.
Wow that thing is insane! I had a somewhat worked twin carb 3K in a KE10 back in the day, but that thing is insane!

Cheers for the comment mate
