Well that was when he believed jujutsu sorcerers were meant to protect non sorcerers. Later on he doesn't think that way and drops the idea of being polite all the time
I mean yeah thats the point. His previous ideology of using his power to serve the weak was turned on its head because he ended up believing the weak (or monkeys) would never truly be grateful for all the bullshit sorcerers have to go through to save them on a regular.
