The Paper Helicopter Spinner! (Propeller that Spins Down) - Rob's World

In this video, I will show you how to make a Paper Helicopter Spinner or Propeller that spins and flies down to the ground like a landing helicopter. I got the idea from those Helicopter Spinners that you twist and they fly.
I spoke with Jeremy Shafer about designing one and we both came up with our own models that spin and fly. You can check out his tutorial here:

You can use any square sheet of paper, however, I will be using a white Letter Sized Paper (8.5" x 11"), which I will convert into a square. Origami or colored printer sheets will work also, but don't try to use very heavy or thick paper as it can interfere with flight.
This is a really fun action model and is also fun to throw like a dart or catch. You can try to drop it from a height also and watch it fall down like a landing helicopter.

That’s interesting Isaac. There is actually a video called “Timelapse of the Future: Journey to the End of Time” that shows what is suspected to happen billions upon billions of years from now, including after all stars have gone out. I’d recommend a viewing of it 🙂
