Thank you for sharing. Your comment,” I only knit my own designs.” Was A) truly baller; and B) game changing. As a new designer but long time knitter, you blew my mind. Thanks for being an inspiration
This was an awesome Q&A! Thank you so much for explaining how to use the colour wheel! You are so easy to learn from - a really good teacher. Have you ever thought of having short "knit with me" episodes where you're just knitting and occasionally chatting? I think you'd be really good at that!
Thank you so much for your excellent blogpost and sharing your knowledge. I most enjoyed the tip about the Stashbot! That really made my day! I didn't know it existed. So again: thanks a lot for sharing 😍
I really appreciated learning about "split complementary" technique when using the color wheel not to go directly across to the complementary color but going to either side of it to minimize the jarring pop.
Your suggestion for using the color wheel was so useful. Thank you. It is helping me with selecting fabrics for quilting as well -- Very excited to get started on new projects. Love your podcast!
So helpful Andrea! I am relieved that the technological difficulties do not deter you. I did get a colour wheel at some workshop I attended, but haven’t used it. As a consequence, I did not like my Moonwhistle choices and had to go to Tanis from TFA for advice. Next time I will try the colour wheel the first time!
Really enjoyed this week's questions 😀great tips as usual & definitely going to look out one of the katrinkles gadgets along with the stash bot app 😊 thank you
Hi Andrea, This is my first KAL and I am enjoying all your tips and tricks. I’m wondering if you have a suggestion on how to pick up stitches so a garment can be reversible?
There will always be a line of where you picked up stitches, created by the column of stitches on the other side of where you picked them up. So you want to take care to do that very neatly. Then it could potentially be reversible. It is sometimes even used as a design element to have that ridge be on the right side of the garment/project!
Great tips! Thanks Andrea! My favourite thing to pair with a cropped sweater is a bodysuit and high pants. I always find it works well with sweaters that are too short :)
Thank you Andrea! Especially loved the part about color theory. I would like to knit your Satellite shawl for my sister in law, but she isn’t big on pink. She does love the yellow which drew me to this pattern.
I have heard that you should use a larger size needle for color work than go to a smaller size for the rest of the sweater. What are your thoughts on that?
Absolutely! IF that will give you the correct gauge :) Generally, a lot of knitters tighten up their gauge while knitting colorwork, so going up a needle size helps to maintain the gauge that they achieve using a smaller needle for the non-colorwork portion!
Does anyone have a suggestion on a pattern from Andrea that would be the best for a beginner to intermediate knitter. New to reading patterns. Thanks 😊
Really enjoy the tips and tricks weekly.
You say things much better than I, that is why you are a better teacher. Love your podcast.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for the Q&A. As always I learn something new. I'll have to find my color wheel and use it!

What a great tip for color combinations! Thanks so much!

Two very useful topics! The Color Wheel and how to buy “a sweater’s worth of yarn” when I don’t yet know the pattern. Thank you.

Thank you have a wonderful weekend.
Thanks Andrea. Great info.

Thank you again, now I know how to use my color wheel.
Thank you for information 👍🙏
I know we're talking knitting, but i love the moon decorations, where may i get some?
I bought mine from Circles of Stitches - a yarn shop in Massachusetts!
I love you sweater. Its beautiful.💖
Thank you! 😊
I used your link to ask a question, but now I’m wondering if you’ve already answered it! Is the answer Stashbot app?😁
Yes it is!
I love the new sweater!
👍😁👋🇳🇱🌷Thank you!
Can you repeat the name of the app please? Thanks you for your videos...they're so helpful!
It's linked in the notes below the video :) Stashbot is the name!
Who makes the wood knit gauge set you showed?
It was from Kelbourne Woolens!
Thanks. Again:))
I wondered if you were a spinner as well. It seems like most knitters fall down that rabbit hole. What is your favorite wheel?
I use the Schacht Matchless!
@@dreareneeknits I’m pretty fond of Spinolution wheels. I use a Monarch and a King Bee ❤️
Can anyone tell me if Andrea's everyday sock is knit top down or toe up?
Hiya! For the most part - all of my sock patterns are toe up and all of my slipper patterns are cuff down.
Where do I find the color wheel?
You can find them in art supply stores or online if you just search for color wheels!
I love the sweater you are wearing , could I have a different collar my children like smaller collar
Sure - you could just do a crew neck, or any collar you like!

I'm finding the Weekender quite straightforward, but still interesting enough!
I enjoyed knitting the Night Shift Shawl.
Il est dommage que vous ne proposiez pas vos modèle en francais
