【4K】Nalati Grassland, Yili, Xinjiang.

Narat Tourist Scenic Area is located in Xinyuan County, Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is located in the hinterland of Tianshan Mountain and the eastern end of Ili River Valley. The scenic area consists of alpine grassland sightseeing area, Kazakh folk customs area and tourist living area from south to north.
Narat Tourist Scenic Area integrates grassland, valley and forest, with high vegetation coverage and rich wildlife resources. It is known as "Tianshan Green Island", "Green Home" and "Colorful Grassland" because of its unique natural ecological landscape and cultural landscape. The main attractions include Tianjie Terrace, Nomadic Family, Tawusani (Kazakh means "beautiful ravine"), Tianxian Terrace, Voltajiaota Observation Deck, and Xuelian Valley.
According to legend, when Genghis Khan was on the westward expedition, a Mongolian army rushed to the Ili River Valley through Toksun and Bayinbuluke grasslands to assemble, and traveled through the southern foot of Tianshan Mountain with difficulty. It was midsummer, and the mountains were still filled with wind and snow, and the cold air was chilling. The Mongolian officers and soldiers were exhausted from hunger and cold. Unexpectedly, after crossing a pass (Mongolian: mountain range), they saw the clouds clear and the sun shining brightly. Before their eyes were blooming flowers, gurgling water and a vast plain, as if they had arrived in another world. The soldiers felt relaxed and happy and couldn't help shouting in unison: "Narat, Narat...", which means "the place where the sun is seen first" in Mongolian and was later transliterated as "Narat", thus a vivid place name was born.
