I know all about giving injections. Every few years one of my box turtles will get a respiratory infection. Mine live outside all year and sometimes we have a warm spell that tricks them into coming out of hibernate too early only for it to get cold again and sometimes they will catch a cold that requires antibiotics. I'm fortunate that it usually only happens every 5 years or so.

DIY tip: use an S shape piece of rigid wire to make a glass lock for terrariums. You slide it between the panes and turn, to hook both ends of the glass.

13:31 i remember over 2 years ago: this enclosure was where #fredgrenwald , katie and kenan dug up the cuban rhino iguana area looking for the eggs(i believe petra had 14 eggs at the time, that was her last clutch update) now hopefully we will be getting more eggs from them after septemeber 2024

Hey Kenan, for now you should just cut a small piece of spare wood or a yard stick to stick in that glass door track on the enclosure. Kinda like what you do with a big glass sliding door. That should work until your locks arrive.
I was thinking you needed jewelry store locks. I have a store. They might be for thicker glass. If so put material in the piece that wraps around the glass. I know that works. Good job Leo.
BTW, despite my criticism about the needle, I'm so glad your lady lizard (I saw someone had dubbed her Mrs. Nutter, LOL) is doing well & healing nicely. She's lovely, if squirrely. Her wound looks great. I remember the video where she had to be stitched up & it looked so scary. The other rock iguanas are adorable, too. Lola & Guapo are my faves. Cheers!
This is my favourite game to play. "If I was a snake, where would I be?" 😂 I usually use sliding locks on my vivs but the ones with central supports they don't work on, so I bought small rubber wedges which work great.

Awesome help Leo. Kenan, as a kid I had a dad that called me "boy". You may think of it as a term of endearment... But, as a kid I hated it. It made me feel talked down to. Just something to consider from a kid's perspective.
My female lewisi is very skiddish too. I put her enclosure in a high traffic area. We all spend time with her and it’s been a year now. Still freaks out when I open her enclosure. Hoping she settles down soon. Even my black spiny tails are easier to get out of their enclosures. That’s how bad she is!
Perfect subQ injection, couldn’t tell maybe you did but remember when giving injections to pull back a little so you don’t see blood, to be sure you are not injecting into a vessel etc.
I had a 4 ft ball python get loose in the house for 2-3 months, many years ago. Then one night I woke up to something cold and scaly touching my forehead, coming out from a hole in the drywall by my bed.
Instead of getting rid of the rhinos current cage, u could strengthen it. Make it taller and use it.. or make it a extension of the big cage. More space for them all then
One thing i will say, if i waited for my rock iguanas to tame down by giving them space, I'd have completely wild iguanas. you have to hold them daily, and show them they will not be hurt as babies. they tame quick, then you give them space because they won't care or look at you as a threat. i think you got lucky with your cubans and Rhinos. just an opinion
Just... straight from the freezer?! I mean, I would at least water bath it for a few minutes. It won't diffuse too badly and it is more gentle on the lizard when it's at least above 50 degrees
Hybrid cichlids tends to be extremely agressive. Maybe this is something similar. Maybe these two iguanas are a bit different and more wild just because they are hybrids. Same with mutt dogs. My dog is a mix of 5 different breeds, she is a complete nutcase lol
When you move the Rhino's, if you can't think of anything to do with there enclouser, maybe get some Chickens? Hens, no need for a Rooster onless you want one, eggs for your self or the Reptiles.
Heyy Kenan you should let your other big lizards explore slinkys habitat & put a whole bunch of cameras in slinkys cage for a live feed when u hide food
I didn't see you pick up or cap that syringe. That's a _REALLY_ bad habit, Keenan. Never, NEVER, _EVER_ leave an un-capped, loose syringe lying about on a freakin' _floor,_ especially in a house with _children!_ I say this as a guy who has to give themselves regular shots. Holy hell, that's _terrible_ needle protocol. Glad you dealt with it at the end, though. Still, shouldn't leave a loose needle anywhere for anytime where someone could accidentally run into it.

I use dowelling to stop the glass doors from opening. Cheap & easy.
