Very interesting set of books. I consider myself a Christian but I rarely attend Church. I am interested in the teachings of Jesus Christ. And of course I fall short of what I should practice. But I rarely discuss religion and I never debate religion. To each his own. Very good video. -James
Have you read Brothers Karamazov? If not I believe you would really enjoy a single chapter of the book that can be read by itself. "The Grand Inquisitor" Thanks for comment James.
What an incredible list! Not your typical BookTube recommendation list but it is definitely getting written down on my end. Also, I once traced the WWJD movement of the late 90s in the U.S. as far back as possible and the farthest back I could go was Kempis and then possibly Augustine of Hippo. One more thing, you are exactly right about language, there are some sounds in other languages that we cannot make because of how our language guided and shaped our vocal development. Great vid.
@@HideAndRead Well the movement itself didn’t go that far back but the idea of What Would Jesus Do goes (at least) that far back. There are hymns and books and sermon series on the topic.
I really need to read outside of my comfort zone and explore other works. Added some of these that interested me to my list. Thanks for the recommendations.

Thank you.
Imitatio Christi, didn't realize it went all the way back to Augustine. Nice. Another guy I would like to meet.
Happy Reading 📚
