All the behavioral stuff was fascinating. I would work there in a heartbeat, if I was allowed to bring in a cat!

Uhhh if a dog is territorial of their person's desk, or is growling at other dogs, that is distracting everyone from work in a negative way and that's making it a less friendly workspace for every species. Rule of thumb is if they have potty problems, grumpy/bitey/growly problems, or mess with equipment or do destructive behavior then they don't pass the standards to be an office dog. You need stricter standards for doggy behavior in a workplace, not to be more lax than a doggy daycare even is.

Oooohh, that's a good question with a really long answer, but I'll try to boil it down for you! There are a lot of diets out there that are meant to help weight loss in cats, and they all work sometimes. Check with your vet for some cool (read expensive-- but maybe worth it) prescription diets! In the mean time try to get your cat to move a bit more. Cats aren't like dogs. They won't go out and run for an hour. They're more about sudden bursts! Think of it as HIIT rather than marathon training. Try to get 5-10 min of active play per day. Use a laser pointer or other toy your cat loves to chase. You could even consider clicker training your cat to run an obstacle course! Just remember if you're giving treats to cut back on the food by like 10%. See? It's a lot like it is for us: diet and exercise.

I'm glad my work place doesn't allow this.

NO, NO and NO! I can tell you from first hand experience that allowing dogs in a workplace is a terrible idea and this is what happened weekly if not DAILY: 1) larger aggressive dogs bit people on a weekly basis because they are constantly threatened by employees wanting to pet them and they are required to be leashed (short, short leash) , 2) hence, dogs DO NOT like being confined to a 4 x 5 cubical, under a desk. They get frustrated and terribly depressed, 3) Dogs STINK! especially when ever other cubicle has a dog in it....Oh, don't forget, dogs have bad breath, and sometimes pee and vomit....and more so in an office due to constant nervousness and employees giving dogs extra snacks when the owner is not there (like in a meeting). The carpet or flooring is not always cleaned on a frequent basis. YES, this is a reality! 4) owners do not necessarily keep their dogs clean and they get used to the smell....I found this to be the biggest issue with boxer, pug and terriers. 5) dogs need attention almost all the time....they need petting, communication and have to go outside to pee/poop. This is distracting and time consuming. 6) Co-workers are constantly disrupting dog owners to visit the dogs. 7) Dog food and water bring odors, ants and chewing noises to the office. Some owners mask the smells with sprays.....this was even worse!! The issues with dogs at work out weigh the benefits by far. Allergies are also a huge issue. ONE person in the office with a dander allergy must take precedence....but the solution usually involves moving this person to an enclosed office, isolated from their teams. It is ridiculous! PLEASE STOP THIS CRUEL PRACTICE!

This dog is not trained to be in an office. You can’t generalize this to all dogs.

What a ludicrous idea.. dogs in an office! Are we living in the twilight zone? Damn sure I wouldn't want dogs in my office. Dogs are already everywhere... parks, shops, cafes, sidewalks and now offices? No thanks. The world is going mad.
