This surprises me, Gill. I was once married into a British family. When they said these sorts of things, it would be with modifiers such as "quite". It's quite hot. I quite like your new car, etc.
There's nothing wrong with this lesson. It just reminds me of the way many Canadians and most Americans speak.

Hi - "quite" tends to suggest "fairly", "to a certain extent", "a little", so it's not really an intensifier :-)

I have watched your video on Vocabulary of Music ! You seem to have a very good knowledge of music.Though being an Indian i am also fond of lndian music ! Much celebrated singer of lndia,Lata Mangeshkar had given her performance at the Royal Albert Hall during the peak time of her career in the 70's and 80's ! The bird cuckoo or koyal as it is known in the native language ( Hindi ) in India,is considered as the singing bird as it sings on the fifth note 'pa' ! The seven notes of the Indian music are Sa,Re,Ga,Ma,Pa,Dha,Ni ! The proficient singers can sing these notes on all the three octaves ! 😃
