@@iRepairAutos either way I was a bit stressed out no gas in the car and the gas tank wouldn’t open in the middle of two cities on a highway with only 2 gas stations
It just happened to me this morning. No gas for me. Driving on prayers today. Thank you for the tip. Now I need to go see if I can get that panel removed.

It happened to me today at the pump on my e350 coupe! I didn't know what to do so I stuck a key in and I think I broke something because now I can't get it to close! 😭 I came on RUclips to see if I could fix it before telling my husband! 😕
Loose cap, try tightening it. If that doesn't work you may need a new cap. Ive seen in some cases where the gas fill neck for the tank has a crack and causes the same message. Smoke tests can help locate these issues.
That’s not so my Mercedes dose not have that red handle pull I had to break door off the car I was on empty all Mercedes are not the same you should state what model and year you have I was at the pump 35-45 mins they should ship all these Mercedes back to were they came from this car was built with no coming sense it locked on its own never did that before e320 2002 book says push on door and it will open if door will not open bring car to Mercedes for service car was on empty how is it going to get there this was Sunday afternoon when I tried to drive it after putting gas in tank the esp light came on and bas light was on now car will no drive good no power and shaking book says to turn steering wheel to the left all the way then turn wheel right all the way turn car off restart car everything back to normal no lights runs good you should see the gas door not repairable
@@iRepairAutos yups. i found the pin right behind the mechanism of the lock by peeling back the lining. this guy explains it: ruclips.net/video/vXWzwBLNkqg/видео.html i would add, that the picture he gives is an extreme close up. it feels like a round pin the size of small measurement, like a mm or two. not sure.but it is easy to pull out. it pulls out quit a lot. it slides out pretty easily. about a quarter of an inch. i hope this helps.

Omg my doors were locked at the time yes, cell was on the dash so locked the doors to go pay 🤦♂️🤦♂️

You know when your doors are locked the lid wont open. It may be your doors are locked. None the less this is a good video tip.

Ridiculous that they make this vital part of the car reliant of electronics. B class mercedes not got this as far as I can see and now I'm stuck.

Search for that pill chord. Some older models have a push to release latch
