Hey y’all! I do want y’all to know that I was alive lol. Up to that point, i had been traveling about 2/3 times a week for about 6 weeks, and it did take a huge toll on my body. Although it had caught up to me at some point during the taping, I was in tune and very blessed to take part in this convo. I don’t want that to get lost at all, as this is one of the most important and most knowledgeable guests we’ve ever had on the couch with us. Hopefully, you all can take away as much game and information as possible from this episode. I deeply apologize if I was a distraction in that. Thank y’all for the support, and let’s keep nerding out.
as long as you're kind to yourself man, it's good. you prolly the type that's hypersensitive to your environment and your time and when that environment is new or time is displaced, you prolly gonna crash a little mentally. tick the boxes you can, that's the best you can do
Dont stress man , everybody yawned on that ep accept Dev lol.. That shoulda been pre production convo.. Please keep the cam on the talkers.. im tiredddd
Nah zoe you straight homie except for the part where you couldn’t wait to ask him to partake in the question game, which is totally normal, we all get starstruck! lol, you guys are great together and y’all have created a lane for the guys in music people aren’t really checking for but still wish they can meet
Such a legendary episode! I gotta say y'all have provided me with so much knowledge as to who these people are and importance of their impact on the audio and music industry. Appreciate y'all fr! You really can't put a price on this info and the amount my mixing has improved since listening to yall podcast is insane. I'm able to understand audio and the manipulation of audio a lot better than before. Will always gladly support y'all.
This has been my favorite episode by far. My Album drops on Friday and this episode immediately put me back into work mode! Y’all are a blessing to the community man. Keep doing what you’re doing. You never know who you’re inspiring every day.
43:00 when you're mixing records that are recorded by professionals you shouldn't need to go overkill on plugins. The source material is 50% of the work.
Recently got hip to Leslie and all the hits he’s been a part of and have been dissecting every interview of his I could find. Hella lit to see the legend tapped in with my favorite pod 🔥 keep spreading knowledge yall!
Awesome interview guys. Gave me much to contemplate as far as mixing, collaborating, paying attention to the social musical impact of certain types of music, and many other things. All the young mixing engineers, producers, should watch this. For his examples of integrity, not hate'n on other competitors, understanding his clients and what they are trying to convey to him in non-technical about the mix. I think that the people that hire Leslie know that Leslie doesn't drink or smoke, and there's little worry about him having a negative effect on the music or maybe the session vibe. And I think that's worth a lot, because he's representing whoever called him for the gig. I really enjoyed this one. Cudos.!
I can’t explain how much I appreciate this episode and on a more simple note this podcast and channel you and your team have put together has done more for my production and engineering education than I could have ever fathomed.
this episode means a lot to me.. i originally started at full sail, transferred to Atlanta at AiA and he came in and showed us the “Happy” session by pharrell.. left that year to go back to full sail and graduate. this man is unintentionally a genius, he gets it. gonna tag y’all in some of the videos on IG of him showing us
