I just got a 2020 trax, and I am very happy with it. Unlike all the guys that star in these videos my main objective in buying this car was not “car go vroom fast” I’m not interested in a 6 cylinder engine. In fact I just got out of a trailblazer for the 2020 trax. I’m happy with this cars power for the needs I have. I only ever really drive myself or our dogs around. My boyfriend who is 6’ feels fine in the passenger seat! I find the interior of this car to be very nice especially for the price. I was on a low budget and I want to pay this car off as quickly as possible. This car fit my needs and my budget. The base model comes with apple carplay and a back up camera which was literally ALL I wanted ( I was driving a 2004 beforeLOL). I think this is a great car to keep in mind for people that need a commuter car with a little extra space and taller feel than a sedan. I get nearly 32mph with mine so I feel this car is pretty economically. Also, it has good safety ratings which I enjoy and I figure parents buying their kids a first car would appreciate as well. Unlike the host, I say definitely check out the Trax!
Trax 2020 is a good car but be careful brakes are horrendous and because the car is narrow and tall is very inestable un highways . I have this car lease and the equinox. Both cars are good but I should be taked 2 equinox for more security in the road.
My only issue with these reviews are everyone giving them are under 30 yrs. of age. As person in my late 40's with a family of 3, and only 5'5" I have no problem with this vehicle. @@kicksoffs considering the Trax and Trailblazer are aimed at the same segment I think YOU'RE missing the point. I'd be nervous driving on the highway with anyone in that car for that reason alone. It also has almost no torque so you can't even tow a trailer with it like you can with most other cars in its class like the Jeep Renegade.
@@braetonwilson4296 I own one and you can't even tow with it despite the fact that its engine is practically the same 4 cylinder engine as the Equinox. It's basically just a big car that can't do any work.
I just traded my 2018 Honda HRV AWD, for a 2019 Chevrolet Trax LT AWD! The power in the small turbo charged automatic 6 speed engine is so much better than the 1.8 in the Honda’s CVT engine. I like the tallness of the Trax, it feels more spacious than the HRV. This car works great for me in the Philly suburbs!
I just bought the 2019 Premium Redline Pkg. Has a 1.6L Turbo Diesel. Offers up 243ft.lb of torque at 2200 rpm. and 135 hp. Enormous difference! in acceleration!
Why do carmakers omit bodyside moldings these days? With thinner sheetmetal being used for the doors than in the past, it seems like an idiotic omission to me.

rhondajb49 I completely agree, what people are saying about the Trax is kinda ridiculous if your buying a compact suv your not expecting all the fancy stuff. We just bought ours and it’s great!
I currently have a Chevy dealer loaner 2018 Trax and I will admit its a nice and roomy I am 6'3" but the fit and finish of the car is terrible the rubber trim along the doors are uneven and even the passenger side express window up is not working...Just seems that Chevy cuts corners and overprice their vehicles....My other concerns about the engine that there is no temp gauge for the engine or the turbo...I want to know how hot the engine is running..also just like my 2011 Chevy Equinox there are no rear vents for AC....I have passengers and they are wanting for the AC to circulate to the back of the vehicle...it takes a long time and in the meantime your hands will freeze based on the placement of the driver side air vents.. that is unacceptable...put some vents back there...This car should no where be near 27k should not pass 21-22k tops..
Going to Pismo Beach for Labor day weekend, I rented a LS Trax on Turo. I really didn't want to rent this car but it was the only one that's pet friendly and has enough miles to take me back and forth. If anyone has any experience with the car and sandy driving please let me know.
If 95+ octane fuel was the norm in the States then that engine would be just fine. The back end is still fugly. Tone down the number of packages Chev'E. Needs a slight wheelbase stretch.

GM needs to fire a SHIT LOAD OF TOP MANAGERS. Get some new blood in that company.
