After debuting the Trax in 2015, Chevrolet has given it a redesign inside and out for 2017. New front and rear fascias hold updated lights, standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as a new USB port increase connectivity and technological utility, and new safety features add security. The Trax’s 1.4-liter, 138-hp 4-cylinder could use more power, since it feels strained when passing or merging with high-speed traffic, but it’s rated at 28 mpg combined, and since the Trax is light, it’s an easy car to drive.
New safety features include blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic and lane-departure warning as well as rear parking sensors and a forward-collision warning system, but they’re not all standard for any version of the Trax, and the only trim that can get them all is the top-of-the-line Premier. This year’s updates make the Trax more inviting, but competitors offer more powerful and efficient engines, a better ride, and/or more cargo room, sometimes at a lower price. I just got a 2020 trax, and I am very happy with it. Unlike all the guys that star in these videos my main objective in buying this car was not “car go vroom fast” I’m not interested in a 6 cylinder engine. In fact I just got out of a trailblazer for the 2020 trax. I’m happy with this cars power for the needs I have. I only ever really drive myself or our dogs around. My boyfriend who is 6’ feels fine in the passenger seat! I find the interior of this car to be very nice especially for the price. I was on a low budget and I want to pay this car off as quickly as possible. This car fit my needs and my budget. The base model comes with apple carplay and a back up camera which was literally ALL I wanted ( I was driving a 2004 beforeLOL). I think this is a great car to keep in mind for people that need a commuter car with a little extra space and taller feel than a sedan. I get nearly 32mph with mine so I feel this car is pretty economically. Also, it has good safety ratings which I enjoy and I figure parents buying their kids a first car would appreciate as well. Unlike the host, I say definitely check out the Trax!

Trax 2020 is a good car but be careful brakes are horrendous and because the car is narrow and tall is very inestable un highways . I have this car lease and the equinox. Both cars are good but I should be taked 2 equinox for more security in the road.

@@kicksoffs considering the Trax and Trailblazer are aimed at the same segment I think YOU'RE missing the point. It's got the weakest engine in it's class and that's unacceptable given how long it's been out. I was going to get one until I saw it only has 138hp. I'd be nervous driving on the highway with anyone in that car for that reason alone. It also has almost no torque so you can't even tow a trailer with it like you can with most other cars in its class like the Jeep Renegade.

I just traded my 2018 Honda HRV AWD, for a 2019 Chevrolet Trax LT AWD! The power in the small turbo charged automatic 6 speed engine is so much better than the 1.8 in the Honda’s CVT engine. GM needs to fire a SHIT LOAD OF TOP MANAGERS. Get some new blood in that company. Their cars aren't that bad, but the biggest problem other than being mismanaged, they need to get up to speed with their packaging. Be more flexible with combining engine/options across all trims. I bought a Cruze TDI last year. But?? Only available on LT. Why not LS? Some of us want to buy a car to get from A to B, without all the gadgets. They're base model is always CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!!!. Make your base model with a bit more class, such as a golf or a Mazda. Other than that, their vehicles aren't that bad as perceived.
